COLLINS FOR WOOD RIVER TRUCK <br />PLAZA: Hartman made a motion and Quandt seconded to set the <br />public hearing for the manager license for Marilyn Collins for <br />Wood River Truck Plaza, for September 23, 1997, at 11:00 a.m.. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt all voted <br />yes and none voted no, with Stelk absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />REQUEST TO CLOSE COUNTY ROAD FOR BIKE-A-THON: The Board received <br />a request to close one mile of road directly North of District 1- <br />R School for a Bike-A-Thon for St. Jude Hospital. Dan Hostler, <br />Public Works Director, suggested that they may want to reconsider <br />the location of the bike-a-thon in the future because of the <br />possible traffic on this road when it is paved. Hartman made a <br />motion and Quandt seconded to approve the request to close the <br />road and send a written request to Roxanne Vipond, Coordinator, <br />to consider a change in location for next year. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt all voted yes and <br />none voted no, with Stelk absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />CLAIM FOR SAM GRIMMINGER: This claim was held for clarification <br />from August 26. The letter from John Brownell, counsel for the <br />Board was read and he was cont, 'acted by phone on September 8 <br />concerning this claim. Discussion was held. Hartman made a <br />motion and Lancaster seconded to approve the claim for Sam <br />Grimminger in the amount of $828.75 for services through April <br />14.
