9J~',3CJ/ " HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING SEPTEMBER 9, 1997 The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjourned session and by published call September 9, 1997, at 9:00 a.m. in the County Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska. CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huey Long. INVOCATION: Invocation was given by Rev. Vernon Warner. ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Huey Long and Gary Quandt, with Tammie Stelk absent. Also present were Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and news media representatives from KRGI and the Grand Island Independent. MINUTES OF THE SEPTEMBER 26 MEETING: Quandt made a motion and Abernethy seconded to approve the minutes as received. Abernethy requested on correction be made. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt all voted yes and none voted no, with Stelk absent. Motion carried. COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz presented a copy of the Resolution to exclude property from the industrial tract. Hartman made a motion and Landis seconded to approve Resolution #97-0060. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt all voted yes and none voted no, with Stelk absent. Motion carried. RESOLUTION #97-tJl) (170 A RESOLUTION CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF A DESIGNATED COUNTY INDUSTRIAL AREA WHEREAS, Poland Oil, Inc., no~ Sapp Brothers Petroleum, Inc., a Nebraska corporation, William D. Sapp, and Robert K. Poland, hereinafter referred to as "Petitioners," are the owners of the following described tracts of real estate which are included within the boundaries of a designated county industrial area: (See Attached Exhibit "A"~ and WHEREAS, On July 10, 1997, Petitioners filed with the Hall County Clerk their petition for exclusion of the above-referenced tracts from the designated county industrial area within which said tracts are located ; and WHEREAS, On September 3, 1997, upon notice as required by Neb. Rev. Stat. sec. 13- 1113 and 13-1119, the Hall County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing upon said petition. NOW BE IT RESOLVED, The Hall County Board of Supervisors hereby finds that the best interests of the community and the industrial area will be served by the exclusion of the tracts as described in Exhibit" A" from the designated county industrial area. It is therefore Ordered that said tracts are hereby excluded from the designated county industrial area and the boundaries thereof are hereby changed according to this order. When a certified copy of this order is filed with the Hall County Register of Deeds and with the Hall County Assessor, such tracts shall no longer be included within the industrial area.
