<br />9/~ d9f <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />SET DATE AND TIME FOR PUBLIC HEARING TO VACATE A PART OF 60TH <br />ROAD: Hartman made a motion and Abernethy seconded to set the <br />public hearing to vacate a part of 60th Road for September 23, <br />1997, at 10:00 a.m. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD SECRETARY REPORT: Lisa Hagen included her progress <br />report in the packets and requested that the performance <br />valuations be turned in. If the board members are going to <br />attend the NACO Central District Meeting September 18, please pay <br />the registration fee to the County Clerk. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBERS' REPORTS: Quandt - He attended the Midland <br />Area Agency on Aging meeting Thursday to prepare for the <br />September 10 meeting. <br /> <br />Stelk - She attended a meeting last Tuesday with Roger Nygard and <br />there is some confusion on the letter concerning the contract. <br />She also attended the annual meeting at Central Community College <br />and stated is was a very information meeting. <br /> <br />Hartman - He stated that the zoning issue for large-scale hog <br />confinement operations should be addressed in Hall County. This <br />should be checked on with Regional Planning Director Dave Barber. <br /> <br />Landis - She attended the conditional use committee meeting and <br />stated that Tom Drudik needSto fill two positions at the <br />extension office and will need to talk to the County Board. She <br />requested some one to take her place at the Senior Citizens <br />meeting because she has to meet with Tom Shay. Lancaster stated <br />she would be able to attend for her. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended the Midland Area Agency on Aging meeting <br />and on September 10, there will be a meeting with Merrick County, <br />the City and Hall County. <br /> <br />Abernethy - She attended an Emergency Planning Meeting and they <br />were brought up to date on legislation that will affect them. She <br />also attended the Central Nebraska Legislative forum and stated <br />that there will be 6 public forums on the prison issue for the <br />public to attend. On September 18, there will be a joint meeting <br />with the City, schools and County on this issue. She also <br />attended the College Park annual meeting and had copies of the <br />annual report for the board members. Landis stated that she felt <br />it was important that AIda, Wood River and Cairo have their own <br />meetings on the prison issue. Lancaster stated that the work on <br />the costs of the sites has not been completed and there is no <br />determination on a site. <br /> <br />Long - He attended the Chamber legislative forum, the Central <br />Community College advisory meeting and the Midland Area Agency on <br />Aging meeting on Thursday. <br /> <br />10:30 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING FOR A CONDITION USE PERMIT FOR JERRY <br />DIMMITT FOR A TEMPORARY MOBILE HOME: Hartman made a motion and <br />Quandt seconded to open the public hearing on the conditional use <br />permit. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and <br />Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. Landis <br />stated that the conditional use committee did not have a problem <br />with this permit for Jerry Dimmitt. Mayme Leach requested to <br />speak and questioned if this was a temporary permit and the <br />location of the mobile home. It will be located at 90th and <br />Schultz Road and is not in the city limits. These permits are <br />issued for 1 year. Jerry Dimmitt stated that 1-year should be <br />long enough to complete the construction of the home. The permit <br />could be issued for 1 year and if necessary it could be renewed. <br />Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to close the public <br />hearing. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and <br />Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. Quandt <br />made a motion and Lancaster seconded to issue the conditional use <br />permit for I year. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. The location will be included on the permit. <br />
