<br />9~~'~3? <br /> <br />Committee is planning to hold a public meeting at College Park <br />September 11, 1997, at 7:00 p.m. and it would a good time to <br />present this concept. Watson stated that a facility like this <br />would draw law enforcement agencies from across the state. <br /> <br />10:45 A.M. Break. <br /> <br />10:55 A.M. Returned to session. <br /> <br />COMMENCE AUDIT OF MONTHLY CLAIMS: The board members reviewed the <br />monthly claims. The claim for Sam Grimminger that was held for <br />clarification was discussed. It was suggested to determine the <br />hourly rate and pay the portion prior to April 15, 1997, when Mr. <br />Fosket resigned. Landis made a motion and Abernethy seconded to <br />send the claim back to John Brownell and determine if part of the <br />claim could be paid. Discussion was held on the amount to be paid <br />and the outside counsel's letter that was read. Landis called <br />for the question but received no second. Voted on original <br />motion. Abernethy, Landis, Long, all voted yes and Quandt and <br />Stelk voted no with Hartman and Lancaster absent. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Stelk made a motion and Abernethy seconded to approve all claims <br />and authorize the Clerk to pay but to correct the claim for <br />LaDonna Wells and pay the claim for Arthur Wetzel for $130.00. <br />Abernethy, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no, with Hartman and Lancaster absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Quandt stated he had received a call concerning a building that <br />Ed Stoltenberg wants to put up. The building would be across the <br />road from his home place and in order to run a business he would <br />be required to have a conditional use permit. The Regional <br />Planning Commission would have to determine what could be done. <br /> <br />Recessed until 1:30 P.M. <br /> <br />1:40 P.M. Returned to regular session. Abernethy made a motion <br />and Stelk seconded to go into executive session for the Public <br />Defenders Organization litigation. Abernethy, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no, with Hartman <br />and Lancaster absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3:20 P.M. Quandt made a motion and Landis seconded to go out of <br />executive session. Abernethy, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no, with Hartman and Lancaster absent. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 3:20 p.m. The next meeting will be Tuesday, <br />September 2, 1997, at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />m~~~~ <br />Marla J.
