<br />COUNTY BOARD SECRETARY'S REPORT: Lisa Hagen, board secretary,
<br />included her progress report in the packets and requested that
<br />the board members turn in their performance reports so she can
<br />complete them.
<br />
<br />COMMUNICATIONS: Stelk made a motion and Abernethy seconded to
<br />accept communications and place them on file. Abernethy, Landis,
<br />Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no, with
<br />Hartman and Lancaster absent. Motion carried.
<br />
<br />BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: Quandt - He attended the Region III meeting
<br />Friday and the minutes are in Lisa's office. He also attended
<br />the budget meetings and will attend Midland Area Agency on Aging meeting
<br />on Thursday.
<br />
<br />Stelk - She attended the audit committee meeting on Friday and
<br />the budget session on last Tuesday.
<br />
<br />Abernethy - She attended the the budget session last Tuesday and
<br />Region III Advisory board to prepare for a meeting.
<br />
<br />Landis - She attended the budget session on last Tuesday, the
<br />audit committee meeting on Friday and the audit committee meeting
<br />with the elected and appointed officials on Monday. They
<br />discussed issues for next years budget.
<br />
<br />Long - He attended a CNCS meeting in Loup City, the audit
<br />committee meeting on Friday and the audit committee meeting on
<br />Monday. He also attended an open house of Rosacker Ryder and
<br />McCue.
<br />
<br />Landis asked Mr. Long if the keno dollars that were cut from the
<br />CNCS Healthy Start program would cause it not to be funded. Mr
<br />Long stated that the program would continue for the rural area.
<br />
<br />Abernethy commented on the fact that the County Board had to make
<br />some cuts on the individual line items in the county budget in
<br />order to reduce the tax asking.
