/?~;:~~Abernethy - She attertded the Housing Authority luncheon and 7/ commented on the number of programs to assist the elderly and income people. Heartland Vision will be holding a town-hall meeting September 18. She attended the College Park Board meeting and Bill Marshall replaced Jan Thayer as chair. She attended the Board of Equalization meeting and the audit committee meetings. low ~ . also Lancaster - She attended the Midland Area Agency on Aging meeting and reported that Jerry Ryan has been the director for 20 years. The executive board voted to give a 3% increase. MAAA did not ask for an increase in their budget and they will be receding funds from the State. She also attended the Board of Equalization meeting and the audit committee meeting. Lancaster reported that the audit committee recommended to hold informal meetings with the department heads to review their budgets Thursday and Friday of this week. This would be with less than a quorum of the County Board members. Stelk stated she thought these meetings were to be held August 4 to 8 and the full board was to talk to the officials to discuss the budgets. The final budgets would not be submitted until August 4. NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Landis questioned how the ag-Iand values were set up by the Area 4 Ag-Iand Board and if Hall County had a representative. Hartman stated he had attended the meetings. Stelk made a motion and Quandt seconded to adjourn the meeting. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried.
