<br />tJ 1';: dft. t/9 <br /> <br />CONTRACT WITH PLATTE VALLEY COMMUNICATIONS FOR TOWER: Janulewicz <br />presented the board members with a draft of the contract. He <br />recommended the board authorize the Chairman to sign the <br />contract. The final draft will be prepared and sent over for <br />signatures. Hartman made a motion and Stelk seconded to approve <br />the contract and authorize the Chair to sign. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Quandt stated a meeting on the 2-mile jurisdiction has been <br />scheduled for Wednesday, July 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the County <br />Board meeting room. Landis requested the Chair to remove her <br />from this committee because it may be a possible conflict of <br />interest. <br /> <br />ALEX MCPHERSON MID-AMERICA CONTRACT RENEWAL FOR HEALTH INSURANCE: <br />Alex Mcpherson provided the board members with claims information <br />in their packets. He stated that Hall County had experienced 3 <br />shock claims in excess of the $25,000.00. One claim isin excess of <br />the aggregate so the county will be reimbursed by the insurance <br />company. Mr. McPherson made the following recommendations: <br /> <br />The County remain with Life Insurance Company of North America. <br />The County remain with the $25,000.00 12/15 specific and the <br />12/12 aggregate. <br />The County remain with Best Life for the life insurance. <br />The County should have a maximum annual limit of $1,000.00. <br /> <br />Stelk made a motion and Abernethy seconded to renew the contract <br />with Mid-America this will be on the agenda for July 29 to sign <br />the renewal contract. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. An amendment will also be prepared for the limit on the <br />dental plan. Stelk thanked Mid-America for the reports and the <br />service they have provided. <br /> <br />Break 10:15 a.m. <br /> <br />Returned to session 10:25 a.m. <br /> <br />ROAD DEPARTMENT ANNUAL REPORT: Daniel Hostler, Public Works <br />Director, presented copies of his annual report. Hartman made a <br />motion and Abernethy seconded to accept the annual road report <br />and place on file. Quandt requested the number of hours of use <br />for the equipment be added to the report. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION NEGOTIATIONS FOR SAFETY CENTER: Hartman made a <br />motion and Abernethy seconded to go into executive session. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />10:30 A.M. Executive session. <br /> <br />11:18 A.M. Abernethy made a motion and Landis seconded to go out <br />of executive session. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Chair Long called for public participation <br />but no one responded. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TO DELETE UNCOLLECTIBLE PERSONAL PROPERTY TAXES: <br />Stelk made a motion and Abernethy seconded to approve Resolution <br />#970050. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and <br />Stelk all voted yes and none voted no.
