<br />91,c ~~0 <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING JULY I, 1997 <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />~The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjourned session <br />and by published call July I, 1997, at 9:00 a.m. in the County <br />Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huey <br />Long. <br /> <br />INVOCATION: Invocation was given by Rev. John Schroeder with <br />Covenant Church. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was given in <br />unison. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Richard Hartman, Pamela <br />Lancaster, Huey Long, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. Irene <br />Abernethy and Margaret Landis were not present. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF JUNE 24 MEETING: Quandt made a motion and Stelk <br />seconded to accept the minutes of the June 24 meeting as received <br />and place on file. Hartman, Lancaster, Long, Quandt and Stelk <br />all voted yes and none voted no, with Abernethy and Landis not <br />present. Motion carried. <br /> <br />INTRODUCTION OF NEW HEALTH DIRECTOR: Margaret Etheridge, interim <br />director introduced Bruce Dart. Mr. Dart is from the Douglas <br />County Health Department and had been employed there for 16 <br />years. Mr. Dart spoke on his experience with the Douglas County <br />Health Department and stated he wants to enforce the three core <br />functions of public health in Hall County. The first Board of <br />Health meeting will be July 8. Abernethy and Landis arrived at <br />9:07 a.m. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy County attorney Jerry Janulewicz did not <br />have any specific items but he spoke on the resolution for Amick <br />Acres West. The resolution was reviewed by Dave Barber, Daniel <br />Hostler and John Amick. Janulewicz stated that the agreement <br />follows along the lines discussed two weeks ago and follows the <br />regional planning commissions recommendation. Hartman made a <br />motion and Stelk seconded to approve Resolution #97-0046. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # C; 7 0 () ~~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION TO REZONE FROM TA-l (TRANSITIONAL AGRICULTURAL) TO PUD <br />(pLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT) APPROXIMA TEL Y 111 ACRES OF LAND LOCATED <br />IMMEDlA TEL Y WEST OF AMICK ACRES EAST SUBDIVISION AND NORTH OF AMICK <br />ACRES THIRD SUBDIVISION AND TO APPROVE WITH MODIFICATIONS THE <br />PRELIMINARY DEVELOPMENT PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the real property as described in Exhibit "A" is located within the T A-I <br />(Transition Agricultural) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Carl Amick and Renee Amick, husband and wife, and Lillian Amick,afe owners of <br />said property, hereinafter referred to as "owners," have requested a change in land use district of said <br />property from T A-I (Transition Agricultural) District to a PUD (planned Unit Development) for the <br />development of71 single family residential lots with privately owned and maintained streets, common areas <br />and two lake outlots and requested approval of a preliminary development plan for said PUD; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Regional Planning Commission, held April 2, 1997, said <br />request was considered following a public hearing thereon. Upon consideration of the matter, the Planning <br />Commission, by majority vote of the nine of the ten members present with one abstaining, recommended to <br />support the requested change in land use district from a TA-l (Transition Agriculture) Zone to a PUD <br />(planned Unit Development) and approved the preliminary development plan for Amick Acres West <br />Subdivision on condition that the modifications as set forth in Exhibit "B~ be made to the preliminary <br />development plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of the Hall COlmty Board of Supervisors' held April 22, 1997, <br />the Hall County Board of Supervisors held a public hearing upon the aforesaid rezoning request and <br />preliminary development plan and, upon closing said public hearing, tabled said request; and <br />
