91 F';:ta /J

PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Judge Bush requested to speak to the board
under public participation. He requested that the board consider
expanding the electronic monitoring, for those who qualify,
versus jail time because of the high numbers in the jail. The
cost for house arrest would be $25.00 for the hook-up and $3.00
to $7.00 per day instead of $50.00 a day. At the present time if
the inmate is able to pay for the electronic monitoring it is
charged to them, but if they cannot pay, there are no funds to
take the cost from if the inmate is indigent. Dalton stated that
the meals alone are more than the electronic monitoring cost.
Judge Bush also stated that this might work in qualifying
juvenile cases instead of the fees charged for a juvenile
detention center. The board will consider this at budget time.

10:45 a.m. Landis made a motion and Lancaster seconded to hold a
Board of Corrections meeting. Since the public hearing was held,
the neighbors have met and agreed on the following proposals:
Hollister Road will be the only access road to the subdivision,
the number of lots offered for sale will be 1 through 59,part of
Renee Road will be vacated and rededicated as part of the roads
for the subdivision and no building permits will be issued until
Hollister Road is completed. Hartman stated that he had met with
the people and they agree on the proposals. Hartman made a
motion and Quandt seconded to accept the proposal for Amick Acres
West.
