<br />~~/~ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING JUNE 17, 1997 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from <br />adjourned session and by published call in the Hall County Board <br />meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huey <br />Long. <br />INVOCATION: Invocation was given by Vice_Chair Irene Abernethy. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard <br />Hartman, Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Huey Long and Gary <br />Quandt. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Present were Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz, <br />John Brownell, attorne~ and news media representatives from the <br />Grand Island Independent and KRGI. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE JUNE 10 MEETING: Landis made a motion and <br />Lancaster seconded to accept the minutes as received and place on <br />file. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt all <br />voted yes and none voted no, Stelk absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz <br />presented the board with copies of the agreement with Great. <br />Plains Appraisal. The agreement has the proposed number of 9 <br />working days and a maximum amount, it is the same as last years <br />agreement. Lancaster made a motion and Landis seconded to <br />approve the agreement and authorize the Chair to sign. The <br />typing errors will be corrected. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis and Long all voted yes, Quandt voted no. Stelk was <br />absent. Motion carried. Janulewicz excused himself for the <br />executive session. Landis requested Janulewicz to assist her on <br />the Senior Citizens contract. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION WITH COUNTY BOARD'S LEGAL COUNSEL: Lancaster <br />made a motion and Landis seconded to hold executive session_ <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt all voted <br />yes and none voted no, Stelk absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION 9:15 A.M. <br /> <br />9:45 A.M.Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go out of <br />executive session. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long <br />and Quandt all voted yes and none voted no, Stelk absent. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING PERSONNEL: Abernethy made a motion <br />and Hartman seconded to hold executive session regarding <br />personnel. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt <br />all voted yes and none voted no, Stelk absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />9:46 A.M. EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> <br />10:20 A.M. Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to go out <br />of executive session. Abernethy, Lancaster, Landis, Long and <br />Quandt all voted yes, Stelk absent. Hartman was absent for the <br />vote. Motion carried. <br /> <br />BREAK 10:20 A.M. <br /> <br />10:30 A.M. Returned to session. <br />
