Roberts, Deputy <br /> <br />$ 4,997.57 <br />13,807.50 <br />668.17 <br />Register of Deeds <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: Quandt made a motion and Abernethy seconded to <br />accept the communications and place on file. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt all voted yes and none voted <br />no, Stelk absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Abernethy read a letter from Bob Wolf, a York County <br />Commissioner, concerning their interest in a juvenile detention <br />center. This will be discussed at the Juvenile Justice <br />Committee. <br /> <br />Quandt asked if the claim from the State Auditors Office had been <br />received and if a copy of the audit has been sent to the board. <br />Chairman Long will check on this. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD SECRETARY REPORT: Lisa included her progress report <br />in the board members packets. She asked if the board members <br />wanted copies of the Keno applications to review. The <br />applications are available for review in her office. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: <br />Quandt - He will have a Head Start meeting June 17 and he is <br />working on a meeting with the Mayor on the 2-mile jurisdiction. <br /> <br />Hartman - None. <br /> <br />Abernethy - She stated that the Family Violence Coalition <br />received high marks from the United Way. She also attended the <br />Governor's Commission on governmental agencies working together. <br /> <br />Landis - She attended the meeting with the elected and appointed <br />officials and the audit committee and stated it was a good <br />meeting. She attended the computer committee meeting and was <br />unable to attend the Weed Control meeting but talked to Ray <br />Galindo. She attended the Senior Citizens meeting and stated <br />United Way rated Senior Citizens and the Adult Day Care very low. <br />She feels this is a good center and should be promoted in the <br />community. She also attended the tower committee meeting. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended the audit committee meeting with the <br />elected and appointed officials and stated Brad Fegley did a good <br />job. She also attended the computer committee meeting. She <br />stated that Susan Stukert did not have any information on the VA <br />Hospital. <br /> <br />Long - None <br /> <br />NEW AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS: The safety committee will be holding <br />training for employees for the fire extinguishers and a free CPR <br />class will be offered on June 21 at Northwest High School. <br />A letter from the Housing Authority was sent to the board <br />requesting them to have lunch and meet with the Housing Authority <br />Board. Terry Randolph with Mid-Nebraska Individual Services <br />would also like the board to tour his workshop.
