<br />91Flg~ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING JUNE 3, 1997 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjourned session <br />and by published call June 3, 1997, in the County Board meeting <br />room, 121 South Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER; The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huey <br />Long. <br /> <br />INVOCATION: Invocation was given by Rev. C. Roger Nelson of First <br />Presbyterian Church. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was given in <br />unison. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard <br />Hartman, Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Huey Long, Gary <br />Quandt and Tammie Stelk. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Present were Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and <br />news media representatives from KRGI and the Grand Island <br />Independent. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MAY 30 MEETING: Abernethy made a motion and Stelk <br />seconded to approve the minutes as received and place on file. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz was <br />present. He did not have any items on the agenda. <br /> <br />Janulewicz was questioned by the board on the letter received <br />from the State Auditor's office concerning the bill for the audit <br />conducted on the Hall County Sheriff's office. This audit was <br />requested by the special prosecutor. The letter stated that <br />request for paYment was sent March 5 and April 10, but the claim <br />had not been paid. The Hall County Sherrif's Office was to file a <br />response to the audit and this was completed and faxed May 29. <br />Disscussion was held. The claim will be tabled until the board <br />receives a copy of the audit. <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Chairman Long called for public <br />participation but no one responded. <br /> <br />APPROVE SPECIALIZED AGREEMENT WITH MID PLAINS: Janulewicz stated <br />that the agreement was the same as last year and recommended <br />approval. Hartman made a motion and Stelk seconded to authorized <br />the Chair to sign the agreement. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />SET DATE AND TIME TO ACCEPT BIDS FOR 3 ASPHALT PROJECTS, <br />C40(181), C40(75)-4, AND C40(286): Stelk made a motion and <br />
