<br />91 F /f#/ <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING MAY 13, 1997 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned <br />session and by published call in the County Board meeting room, 121 <br />South Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huey Long. <br /> <br />INVOCATION: Invocation was given by Rev. Bacon with the First <br />Christian Church. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Pamela Lancaster, <br />Margaret Landis, Huey Long, Gary Quandt, and Tammie Stelk. Richard <br />Hartman was absent. <br /> <br />PRESENT: Present were Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz, news <br />media representatives Carol Bryant, Grand Island Independent and <br />Tracy Overstreet, KRGI radio. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE MAY 6 MEETING: Corrections were made. Quandt made <br />a motion and Stelk seconded to accept the minutes as received and <br />place on file. Abernethy, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and <br />Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy County Attorney, Jerry Janulewicz received <br />an agreement and resolution for the historical marker for the Murdock- <br />Morman Trail site project. Stelk made a motion and Quandt seconded <br />to approve Resolution #97-00034 and authorize the chair to sign <br />the agreement. Abernethy, Lancaster, Landis, Long, and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-{)c)CJ3 i-/ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF ROADS <br />FOR THE MURDOCK - MORMON TRAIL SITE PROJECf <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in cooperation with the Hall County Historical Society, the Hall County B.wd of Supervisors <br />desires to utilize funds from the Enhancement Program of the Surface Transportation Program f lr marking and <br />fencing the Murdock - Mormon Trail site in Hall County Nebraska and constructing an area for .'ublic parking at <br />said site; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the aforesaid project was approved for use of said funds through the Nebraska [l?partment of <br />Roads; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to utilize said funds, the County of Hall and the State of Nebraska must ent'~r into an <br />agreement defining the mutual obligations of the parties with respect to the receipt and utilization of said fu nds. <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED, that the agreement between the County of Hall and the Nebraska Departmt..'nt <br />of Roads, Project No. STPS-40 (43), Murdock - Mormon Trail Project, be hereby approved The County Clerk and <br />Chairman of the County Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized to execute the aforesaid agreement and other <br />necessary documents on behalf and in the name of Hall County. <br /> <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS d DAY OF MAY, 1997. <br /> <br />Prepared by: <br />Jerom E.
