<br />C/7/- //~ <br /> <br />.t <br />\ HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING, APRIL 1, 1997 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />and by published call in County Board meeting room, 121 South Pine, Grand <br />Island, Nebraska. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huey Long. <br /> <br />INVOCATION - Invocation was given by Pastor Ted Dubs, Seventh Day Adventist <br />Church, Grand Island <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE - The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL - Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Pamela Lancaster, <br />Margaret Landis, Huey Long, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. <br />Richard Hartman arrived at meeting at 9:05 a.m. <br /> <br />PRESENT - Deputy County Attorney Jerom Janulewicz, News media representatives <br />Carol Bryant, Grand Island Independent and Tracy Overstreet. KRGI Radio. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF MARCH 25th MEETING - Motion by Quandt, seconded by Stelk to accept <br />minute of March 25th meeting as received. Abernethy, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Hartman was absent. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY - Deputy Attorney Janulewicz spoke in regard to the resolution <br />prepared for transfer funds for Veterans Service Office, $810.65 <br />RESOLUTION #97-0024 - Motion by Stelk, seconded by Quandt to adopt Resolution <br />#97-0024 to authorize transfer funds to Veterans Service Office budgets. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, <br />none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97- ()t!) ~ l' <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION TO INCREASE APPROPRIATIONS FOR <br />THE HALL COUNTY VETERANS SERVICE OFFICE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, due to unforeseen circumstances there are additional expenses to be incurred in the <br />operation of the Hall County Veterans Service Office which expenses could not have been reasonably <br />anticipated at the time the County budget for the current year was adopted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the funds for operation of the County Veterans Setvice Office are included in the <br />County budget as part of the County General Fun~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are sufficient unexpended and unencumbered funds remaining in the County <br />General Fund - Miscellaneous item line 2-9900 (miscellaneous expenses) to permit a transfer of $194.00 <br />from said item to the County General Fund item 911 (Howard County Agreement) line 30101 (office <br />supplies) and to permit a transfer of $616.65 from the County General Fund - Miscellaneous item line 2- <br />9900 to the County General Fund item 803 (County Veterans Service) line 1-0100 (salary) in order to pay <br />said unanticipated additional. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL YED by the Hall County Board of Supetvisors that the County <br />General Fund - Miscellaneous item line 2-9900 (miscellaneous expenses) be reduced in the amount of <br />$810.65 and that the following lines be increased in the respective amounts: General Fund item 911 <br />(Howard County Agreement) line 30101- increased in the amount of$194 and County General Fund item <br />803 (County Veterans Service) line 1-0100 (salary) - increased in the amount of $616.65; said action <br />being taken in order to permit the payment of additional and unforeseen expenses to be incurred in the <br />operation of the Hall County Veterans Setvice Office.
