<br />C;1~ j~~3. <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISOR MEETING, FEBRUARY 25, 1997 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met at 9:00 a.m. from adjourned session <br />and by published call, in County Board meeting room, 121 S. Pine,Grand Island. <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Chairman Huey Long. <br /> <br />INVOCATION: Invocation was given by Pastor Schutte, Grace Lutheran Church <br />Grand Island <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, <br />Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Huey Long, Gary Quandt <br />and Tammie Stelk. None were absent. <br /> <br />PRESENT were Deputy Attorney Jerom Janulewicz and News Media reporter <br />Carol Bryant from Grand Island Independent. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 18th MEETING: Motion by Hartman, seconded by Landis <br />to accept minutes of February 18th meeting as received. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION: Motion by Lancaster, seconded by Quandt to hold Execu- <br />tive Session in regard to Public Defender Organization negotiations. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, <br />none voted no. Motion carried. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION at 9:05 A.M. with Deputy Attorney Janulewicz present. <br />Motion by Stelk, seconded by Quandt to return to regular session of Board <br />of Supervisor meeting. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt <br />and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. <br />RETURNED TO REGULAR SESSION AT 10:24 A.M. <br /> <br />Chairman called short break. Returned to session at 10:30 a.m. Present <br />was KRGI Radio reporter Tracy Overstreet. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION - HOME OCCUPATIONS: Supervisor Landis, Chair of Conditional Use <br />Committee stated the resolution was not ready today. Put on next week's <br />agenda. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #97-0016 Motion by Stelk, seconded by Landis to adopt Resolution <br />#97-0016 to appoint Ed Saeger, County Safety Officer. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk voted yes, none voted no. Motion <br />. carried . <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # Cj'? - (JO / ~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A COUNTY SAFETY COMMITTEE AND POLICIES <br />RELATED THERETO. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Hall County acknowledges its responsibility to take <br />action as necessary to insure the safety and well being of its <br />employees; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, through the establishment of a Safety Committee, the <br />County is committing itself to the development of those policies <br />and procedures which will provide the necessary framework to meet <br />these goals. <br /> <br />NOW, BE IT RESOLVED by the Hall County Board of Supervisors as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. That Ed Saeger shall replace the County Board Assistant as <br />the designated County Safety Officer. <br /> <br />2.
