97 ~- 0&;2J COUNTY BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: . 'Quahdt - Head Start meeting tonight at 6:00 p.m., Have Park Committee meeting for next Tuesday, (February 25th) at 8:30 a.m. He attended the Senior Citizens Industries Meeting. Landis arrived at meeting at 1:55 p.m. Abernethy - Notice sent out to board members in regard to Criminal Justice meeting. She reported on meeting last Friday Noon for Criminal Justice. /ef) Stelk, questioned the Law Library computerization progress. Long - He and Lancaster had met with Attorney Janulewicz in regard to the Public Defender negotiations, Attended the Home Occupation Public Hearing, Attended Heartland Vision meeting, Stuhr Museum Board meeting and has CNCS meeting in Loup City today at 5:00 p.m. Lancaster - Attended Public Defender negotiations committee meeting, and the Criminal Justice Committee meeting. Hartman arrived at meeting at 2:00 p.m. Landis - Public Works Committee meeting tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. Meeting at City Hall in regard to Ordnance Plant water. Stelk - Attended Health Board Meeting, Minutes will be sent out later. February 13th attended interviews for Health Director, will know this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. if person selected accepted the position. Convention & Visitor Bureau meeting was cancelled. Hartman - Attended Mid Plains Meeting, & Criminal Justice Meeting. He asked about the Juvenile Detention meeting to be held at College Park tomorrow. Comments were made in regard to the Juvenile Detention Meeting to be held at 2:00 p.m. at College Park on Wednesday, February 19th. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Carol Bryant, Grand Island Independent reporter asked about copy of minutes from Criminal Justice meeting, also questioned packets for Board meetings for news media. Chairman Long requested another week to research the questions raised in regard to board meeting information being released. Discussion on Board meetings. Suggestions of every other week hold workshop, and every other week regular meeting. Workshop meetings to discussion items to be researched for meetings. Have Claim Day 4th Tuesday of each month in morning and balance of day for study session. Carol Bryant, again spoke in regard to the news media packets for Board meetings. Discussion by Board members on the packets and the structure of weekly meetings. No action was taken today will visit with Deputy County Attorney in regard to meetings. Lancaster- Asked for guidelines on how to manage unsigned communications board members receive at their homes. Landis had letter from Regional Planning Director Dave Barber for the Cond- itional Use Committee review. Chairman Long appointed Abernethy, Chair; Lancaster and Stelk as Board committee to meet with CASA Board, as requested today.
