<br /> <br />91 F- {);(rJ <br /> <br />Quandt made a motion and Hartman seconded to approve a <br />Don Shuda Veterans Service Office~ of $500.00 a year. <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />raise for <br />Abernethy, <br />voted yes <br /> <br />The names of the finalists for the county board executive secretary <br />will be released in the next 24 hours. The County Clerk's office <br />can be contacted for this information. <br /> <br />OFFICE REPORTS: Stelk made a motion and Abernethy seconded to <br />accept and place on file the following office reports: <br /> <br />Hall County Attorney Monthy Statistic Report for December, 1996. <br /> <br />Register of Deeds fees collected for month of December, 1996 <br /> <br />Documentary stamp tax fees <br />Recording fees <br />Photo fees <br /> <br />$ 5,103.53 <br />10,306.00 <br />599.40 <br />$ 16,008.93 <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBER REPORTS AND COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br /> <br />Abernethy- She attended the Committee on Committees meeting <br />and a meeting on the government restructuring. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She attended the Reuse meeting And stated that Landis <br />would report on that meeting. <br /> <br />Hartman - He attended the NRD meeting and the Mid Plains meeting. <br />He was appointed as the chair of Mid Plains. They are in the <br />process of selecting their 5 member board. Hartman suggested that <br />a NRD Committee should be made. <br /> <br />Landis - She attended the NRD meeting and stated that Merrick <br />County had questions and she felt many questions were answered. <br />She attended the Reuse meeting and a meeting will be held January <br />29, at 12:00 to work on strategies. <br /> <br />Quandt - None <br /> <br />Stelk - She attended the Health Board meeting. They are working <br />on hiring a new director and setting up interviews. She attended <br />the Convention and Visitors Bureau meeting. Stelk questioned <br />why the Central District meetings are not held in Grand Island <br />and wants to contact Jack Mills and the Counties involved to see <br />if it couldn't be held in Grand Island. <br /> <br />Hartman left at 12:06 p.m. <br /> <br />UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Quandt suggested that the Public Works <br />Committee meet once a year to evaluate problem intersections <br />in Hall County. <br /> <br />Discussion on the letter from Grand Island Area Economic Development <br />Corporation to locate a state prison facility at the Cornhusker <br />Army Ammunition Plant was held. Landis stated that the Reuse <br />Committee works with the Army on any leases at the plant and this <br />will be discussed next week. If one party opposes a project it <br />is stopped. <br /> <br />Long requested that the board members give the Committee on Committees <br />their input. <br /> <br />Abernethy stated that the public hearing on the home occupation use <br />is scheduled for February 6 at 7:00 p.m. This is the same day <br />as the County Board Workshop. Dave Barber will be contacted to <br />change this public hearing to February 13 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: Abernethy made a motion and Stelk seconded to <br />accept the communications and place on file. Abernethy, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Hartman was absent. <br /> <br />
