Motion carried. <br /> <br />Stelk made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the 1998-1999 <br />county budget. Abernethy stated she would like to see additional <br />funding for Stuhr Museum from keno. Quandt stated he was pleased <br />that all of the employees were treated the same. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Brad Fegley stated that the resolution to set the levy will be <br />addressed at the September 22 meeting. <br /> <br />CONSIDER AND ADOPT RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PAY INCREASES FOR <br />APPOINTED OFFICIALS: This resolution will establish a 2% cost of <br />living and a 2% merit increase for the appointed officials. <br />Lancaster made a motion and Long seconded to approve Resolution <br />#98-0055 to establish pay increases for elected officials. <br />Abernethy, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted <br />yes and none voted no, with Hartman absent for the vote. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98- 0055 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SETTING PAY INCREASES FOR <br />APPOINTED DEPARTMENT HEADS <br />FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998-1999 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following appointed department heads serve the County of Hall for terms of one <br />year or less or serve at the will of the County Board, to wit: Building and Grounds Superintendent, <br />Corrections Director, Parks Superintendent, Public Works Director, and Veterans Service Officer; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County Board desires to set a policy for pay increases for the above officers for <br />fiscal year 1998-1999; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County Election Commissioner is appointed to a four-year term with <br />compensation determined prior to commencement of said term and, thus, is not subject to increase or <br />decrease during the term of office. <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED, the following appointed department heads shall receive a cost of living <br />increase in the amount of2% of each official's current pay effective July 1, 1998 for the fiscal year 1998- <br />1999, to wit: Building and Grounds Superintendent, Corrections Director, Parks Superintendent, Public <br />Works Director, and Veterans Service Officer.
