J-~ 0 !Jt7? <br /> <br />TED GEORGE REGARDING LIQUOR LICENSE: Ted George, owner of the <br />Wings Restaurant at the airport; stated that he is in the process <br />of selling the lease to the restaurant and would like to transfer <br />the liquor license to the new owner, otherwise the new owner <br />would have to apply for a new license. Mr. George will discuss <br />this matter with Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and <br />contact the liquor commission. <br /> <br />CONSIDER & ADOPT RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE POSITION OF JUVENILE <br />SERVICE DIRECTOR: This will establish a juvenile services <br />director. He will also work on the electronic monitoring for <br />juveniles. A separate budget has been set up for this office. <br />Stelk made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve Resolution <br />#98-0045 to establish the position of juvenile services director. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted <br />yes and none voted no. Landis was absent. Motion carried. <br />Lancaster stated that this will be a positive influence for Hall <br />County. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98-rJ().<../5 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE OFFICE OF HALL COUNTY JUVENll..E <br />SERVICES AND THE POSITION OF JUVENll..E SERVICES DIRECTOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Nebraska Revised Statutes ~ 23-104.03 provides: "Each county shall have <br />the authority (1) to plan, initiate, fund, maintain, administer, and evaluate facilities, programs, and <br />services that meet the rehabilitation, treatment, care, training, educational, residential, diagnostic, <br />evaluation, community supervision, and protective service needs of dependent, aged, blind, <br />disabled, ill, or infirm persons, persons with a mental disorder, and persons with mental <br />retardation domiciled in the county; ..." and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there is a need for additional juvenile services and resources that meet the <br />rehabilitation, treatment, training, educational, and community supervison needs of wayward, <br />dependent, and delinquent youth in Hall County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the creation of the office of Hall County Juvenile Services and the creation of <br />the position of Hall County Juvenile Services Director would further the ability of the courts and <br />county officials to deal with the growing problems and needs of juveniles within Hall County. <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED, effective July 1, 1998, the office of Hall County Juvenile <br />Services is hereby created with such funds and budgets as provided for from time to time by the <br />Hall County Board of Supervisors. The office shall be responsible for providing community <br />supervison of such juveniles as referred by the County and District Courts of Hall County and by <br />the Hall County Attorney. <br />
