<br />iff f' tf)~~5 <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING August 11, 1998 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjDurned seSSlon <br />and by published call in the County Board meeting room, 121 South <br />Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska August 11, 1998, at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richard Hartman. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Huey Long. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, <br />Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Huey Long, Gary Quandt and <br />Tammie Stelk. Also present were Deputy County Attorney Jerry <br />Janulewicz and news media representatives from the Grand Island <br />Independen t and KRG I . <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE JULY 28 MEETING: Long made a motion and Stelk <br />seconded to accept and place on file the minutes of the June 28 <br />meeting. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS NEGOTIATIONS WITH CWA: Long made a <br />motion and Stelk seconded to go into executive session to discuss <br />CWA negotiations. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />9:10 a.m. executive session <br /> <br />9:40 a.m. Stelk made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go out of <br />executive session. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz stated that he may need <br />to make a correction to item number eight in the CWA contract, <br />but he recommended that the board approve the agreement and <br />authorize the Chairman to sign. Stelk made a motion and <br />Lancaster seconded to authorize the Chairman to sign the <br />agreement and make the necessary changes to item eight. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />CONSIDER AND APPROVE RESOLUTION REQUESTING SALE OF RESIDENTIAL <br />UNITE AND FARM SITE AT CAAP: The reuse committee met July 30 and <br />adopted a motion requesting that the houses and the farm site on <br />60th Road be sold at public auction by the Army Corp of <br />Engineers, to the highest bidder. The reuse plan has been <br />forwarded to the Department of the Army and is waiting for <br />approval. Landis stated that there have been calls of interest <br />on the farm site on 60th Road. Quandt made a motion and Landis <br />
