Hall County received all
the land south of the center line and Stuhr Museum received all
the land north of the center line. Since then some channel work
was done to straighten the rive~ and a small section of land
owned by Stuhr is on the south side of the river and a small
section of land owned by Hall County is on the north side of the
river. It has been proposed to deed the land south of the
channel to Hall County and all land north of the channel to Stuhr
Museum. The Natural Resource District will be doing work on the
Wood River Warm Slough projec~ and it would make it easier for
the Army Corps of Engineers to procure easements from the legal
owners if the ownership was changed to correspond with the
current channel of the Wood River. Stelk made a motion and
Abernethy seconded to authorize the conveyance of the property
north of the Wood River channel to Stuhr Museum in return for the
property south of the Wood River channel be conveyed to Hall
County. Janulewicz stated that this conveyance would also make
access to the property easier. Abernethy, Lancaster, Landis,
Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and Hartman voted no.
Motion carried.

CONSIDER AND APPROVE ADDENDUM TO EXTEND CURRENT COOPERATIVE
AGREEMENT FOR CHILD SUPPORT ENFORCEMENT: With the passage of
LB752 the Nebraska Child support Enforcement Program will be
implementing new Federal and State mandated laws, policies and

/
