<br />f % F t?~.3'3 <br /> <br />CONSIDER AND APPROVE LETTER TO MOTOR VEHICLE INDUSTRY LICENSING <br />BOARD REQUESTED BY BOB SIEMERS: Bob Siemers requested that the <br />County Board send a letter to the industry licensing board <br />regarding his request to establish a car lot at this address. <br />Janulewicz stated that this property is zoned as agricultural and <br />auto sales could not be established unless a conditional use <br />permit was issued or unless it would fall under home occupation. <br />A draft of the letter to Mr. Siemers was given to the board <br />members. Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to approve <br />the letter and send it to Mr. Siemers. Richard Hartman arrived <br />at 9:20 a.m. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION TO DISCUSS NEGOTIATIONS STRATEGY REGARDING CWA <br />AND THE HALL COUNTY PUBLIC DEFENDERS ORGANIZATION: Stelk made a <br />motion and Quandt seconded to into executive session regarding <br />the CWA and the Hall County Public Defenders organization. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />9:25 a.m. executive session <br /> <br />9:55 a.m. Stelk made a motion and Landis seconded to go out of <br />executive session. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />ACCEPT AND PLACE ON FILE TORT CLAIM FROM KEVIN ASH AND LEROY <br />O'BRIEN: This tort claim was received June 10 by the County <br />Clerks office and a copy was forwarded to our insurance carrier <br />and to Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz. Stelk made a <br />motion and Quandt seconded to accept and place on file. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Quandt and Stelk all voted <br />yes and none voted no, with Long absent for the voted. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />PETITION TO CLOSE A PORTION OF SHADY BEND ROAD: The public <br />hearing on this matter was held June 23. Public Works Director <br />Dan Hostler recommended that the County leave the road open. <br />Quandt made a motion and Landis seconded to leave the road open. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Quandt and Stelk all voted <br />yes and none voted no, with Long absent for the vote. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />ACCEPT PUBLIC WORK COMMITTEE REPORT TO ACCEPT CULVERT BIDS ON <br />AUGUST 11, 1998: <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE REPORT <br /> <br />The Hall County Public Works Committee recommends that the Hall <br />County Board of Supervisors accept sealed bids on Culvert for <br />1998-1999 on Tuesday, August 11, 1998 at 10:;_00 a.m. <br /> <br />Signed by Richard Hartman, Chairman, Margaret Landis, Pam <br />
