<br />'?Sf tJ~J6J <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING JULY 14, 1998 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjourned session <br />and by published call in the county board meeting room, 121 South <br />Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska, June 23, 1998 at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Vice-chair Tammie Stelk. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Pastor Terry Brown from the Calvary <br />Assembly of God Church. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> <br />Presenton roll call were Irene Abernethy, Pamela Lancaster, <br />Margaret Landis, Huey Long, Gary Quandt and Tammie- Stelk. <br />Richard Hartman was absent. Also present pere Deputy County <br />Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and news media representatives from <br />KRGI and the Grand Island Independent. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE JUNE 23 MEETING: Abernethy requested a correction <br />be made on page 8 of the minutes. Abernethy made a motion and <br />Long seconded to accept and place on eile the minutes of the <br />June 23 meeting. Abernethy, Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt <br />all voted yes and none voted no, with Hartman absent and Stelk <br />abstained. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY: Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz stated <br />he received a request from Fonner Keno to offer progressive keno <br />games. The progressive keno jackpot would exceed the current <br />maximum payout of $50,000.00, allowing for larger jackpot amounts <br />to be paid out on the winning ticket. Janulewicz is requesting <br />approval. Quandt made a motion. and Lancaster seconded to approve <br />Resolution #98-0037. Abernethy, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no with Hartman absent. <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98- QYt1J 37 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FONNER KENO, INe., TO CONDUCT ONE OR <br />l\tIORE PROGRESSIVE KENO GAMES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Fonner Keno, Inc., hereinafter referred to as "Fonner Keno,"operates on <br />behalf of the County of Hall a keno lottery; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Fonner Keno . desires to conduct one or more progressive keno games as <br />part of the keno lottery operated on behalf of the County of Hall. <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED that Fonner Keno be hereby authorized to conduct one or <br />more progressive keno games as part of the keno lottery operated by Fonner Keno on behalf of <br />the County of Hal!. The pay tables and rules of any such progressive game shall be subject to <br />approval by the county keno administrator. <br />
