<br />~gF~A07 <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING JUNE 23, 1998 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjourned session <br />and by published call in the county board meeting room, 121 South <br />Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska, June 23, 1998, at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richard Hartman. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Pastor Paul Hofrichter, with Evangelical <br />Free Church. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard Hartman, <br />Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Huey Long and Gary Quandt, and <br />Tammie Stelk was absent. Also present were Deputy County <br />Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and news media representatives from <br />KRGI and the Grand Island Independent. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE JUNE 9 MEETING: Landis made a motion and Quandt <br />seconded to accept the minutes of the June 9 meeting and place on <br />file. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt all <br />voted yes and none voted no, with Stelk absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />APPROVE THE LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH DEPARTMENT OF ARMY AND HALL <br />COUNTY FOR COMMUNICATION TOWER SITE: Deputy County Attorney Jerry <br />Janulewicz presented the license agreement with the Army Corps of <br />Engineers for the radio communications tower located at the <br />Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant. A temporary license was issued <br />upon completion of the tower. This agreement will be effective <br />until August 29, 2002. Landis made a motion and Long seconded to <br />authorize the Chair to sign the agreement. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt all voted yes and none voted <br />no, with Stelk absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />CONSIDER AND ADOPT RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE CITY OF GRAND <br />ISLAND AS TRANSFEREE OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT CAAP: This resolution <br />was presented to the board on June 9 and there were questions <br />regarding the residences located on the 410 acre site. The City <br />requested to use three homes and the garages. The others will be <br />sold for fair market value. Long made a motion and Landis <br />seconded to approve Resolution #98-0033 with the City of Grand <br />Island. Hartman stated that he was opposed to taking this <br />property off the tax rolls . Janulewicz stated that they <br />negotiated to keep the buildings in one tract because of the <br />condition that they are in and this way they would be taken care <br />of. The reuse plan specifically directs the use of the land. <br />Abernethy, Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt all voted yes and <br />Hartman voted no, with Stelk absent.
