She attended the election
committee meeting and stated some of the expenses will be paid
out of the special election budget and that her budget will
reflect the increased costs for ballots. The employee
recognition committee met and the employee recognition day is
scheduled for Sunday September 20 at 1:00 p.m. The employees
will need to respond to the County Clerk's office by September 8.
Gary Quandt is working on the catering and Pam Lancaster is
working on the arrangements with Stuhr Museum. There will be
certificates of recognition awarded to 5, 10, 15 and 20 year
employees. Also former elected officials will be invited to
attend. She also will have a health board meeting at 7:00 p.m.
There was also an extension board meeting.

Landis - She attended the joint city-county meeting, there was a
hog confinement meeting and a Weed Board meeting at conflicting
times. It appears to
create another level of administration that will add
administrative costs instead of returning this to the local
recipients. They are putting together their thoughts and
concerns regarding the state's proposal.

Long - He attended the audit committee and the joint meeting
city-county health department and other committee meetings.
