County Clerk Marla Conley reported that it <br />was suggested that the picnic be held at Stuhr Museum. She <br />contacted museum director Sandi Yoder and she stated she <br />would open the museum for free admission to the employees <br />for the county picnic. Stelk requested that this be placed <br />on the agenda for May 12 for discussion. <br /> <br />Quandt made a motion and Abernethy seconded to go into a <br />Board of Equalization meeting. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and <br />none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Returned to regular session. Stelk left the meeting at <br />11:00 a.m. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD MEMBER REPORTS: Landis - She attended a Reuse <br />sub-committee meeting and they will meet next week. <br /> <br />Lancaster - She requested to attend a workshop on <br />restructuring government on May 20 and 21. The cost is <br />$55.00 plus lodging and wanted to know if anyone else will <br />be attending. Long and Abernethy will also attend. She <br />attended an Economic Development meeting for Margaret Landis <br />and they followed Margaret's recommendation on the DTE Rail <br />Company. Their membership fee will increase to $250.00 and <br />they are working on the funds for the purchase of land for <br />the prison. She attended a Convention Visitors Bureau <br />meeting. Renee Seifert expressed concerns on the development <br />of South Locust Street and it was suggested that she meet <br />with Dan Hostler on signs for the exits into Grand Island. <br />CVB is also looking for volunteers for convention greeters <br />and it was suggested to contact some of the election poll <br />workers. <br />
