The low bidder on the 1999 truck tractor was <br />Nebraska Peterbilt Ford at $56,894.00 and the successful bidder <br />on the 1999 2.0 ton chassis was Nebraska GMC Truck at $36,972.00. <br />Quandt made a motion and Landis seconded to accept the low bids. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long and Quandt all voted <br />yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT TO USE WOOD RIVER ROAD AND 130TH ROAD FOR <br />DETOUR FOR STATE PROJECT: This road will be overlaid before it is <br />used as a detour. Quandt made a motion and Stelk seconded to <br />authorize the Chair to sign the agreement. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION STUHR MUSEUM: Lancaster made a motion and <br />Abernethy seconded to go into executive session. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long and Stelk all voted yes and <br />Quandt voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Lancaster made a motion and Long seconded to go out of executive <br />session. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and <br />Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />DISCUSSION ON KENO APPLICATIONS: This will be discussed at the <br />April 14 meeting. <br /> <br />APPROVE RESOLUTION DESIGNATING APRIL AS CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION <br />MONTH: The resolution was read and Abernethy made a motion and <br />Lancaster seconded to approve Resolution #98-0017 for Child Abuse <br />Prevention Month. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion car~ied. <br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br />RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING APRIL AS CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH <br />RESOLUTION # q 1- {}{)/7 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Nebraska and Hall County are committed to supporting families through <br />programs that will prevent child abuse and neglect; and <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, there are numerous dedicated individuals and organizations in Han <br />County who work daily to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect and to find families the <br />assistance that they need; and <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, all children deserve love, comfortable homes, and tender care from <br />parents and adults who make them feel safe, happy, and loved; and <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, child abuse prevention is a community problem and finding solutions <br />depends on involvement among people throughout the community; and <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />\VHEREAS, statistics of children who are abused and neglected escalate each year; <br />
