<br />fgF t1JoS-6 <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING FEBRUARY 24, 1998 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjourned session <br />and by published call in the County Board meeting room, 121 South <br />Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska, February 24, 1998, at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richard Hartman. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Rev. Fred Gardner with United <br />Congregational Church of Christ. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard <br />Hartman, Pamela Lancaster, Gary Quandt and Tammie Stelk. <br />Margaret Landis and Huey Long were absent. Also present were <br />Deputy County Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and news media <br />representatives from the Grand Island Independent and KRGI. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 27 MEETING: Quandt made a motion and Stelk <br />seconded to accept the minutes as corrected and place on file. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and <br />none voted no, with Landis and Long absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY - APPROVE RESOLUTION ON PURCHASES BY COMPUTER <br />COMMITTEE: This resolution is similar to the resolution passed <br />February 10. It would allow purchases of software and equipment <br />under $2,500.00. Abernethy made a motion and Stelk seconded to <br />approve Resolution #98-0013 on purchases by the computer <br />committee. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98- () 0 \3 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURES BY <br />THE CHAIR OF THE COUNTY COMPUTER COl\'lMITTEE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors created a County Computer <br />Committee, comprised of county board members and county officials and employees, having <br />responsibility for coordinating and improving the County's efforts to maximize the utility and <br />functioning of its computer and data processing resources; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS said committee requires from time to time to obtain station.,ry, office <br />supplies, office con~umable, and other goods and materials necessary for the functioning and <br />operation of the committee and computer equipment, software, and related items for the <br />County's computer systems; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to promote efficient and effective governance, it is desirable to <br />authorize and empower the Chair of the Computer Committee to make limited purchases of the <br />above-described items for use by the Committee. <br />
