Motion carried. <br /> <br />Regional Planning Director Dave Barber presented a letter to the <br />board members with the proposed amendments to the Hall County <br />Zoning Resolution to control establishment of intensive hog <br />confinement facilities. He reviewed the changes on certain <br />definitions and the requirement of a conditional use permit for a <br />intensive hog confinement facility. He also showed a map showing <br />the various areas. Some of the area farmers attended the <br />regional planning commission's meeting and discussion was held on <br />the number of hogs. The legislature is currently considering <br />legislation on this matte~ and the conditional use committee will <br />meet and discuss this after the legislation is completed. <br /> <br />ACCEPT AND PLACE ON FILE THE AUDITS FOR KENO AND COUNTY CLERK: <br />Landis stated the audit committee met and Brad Fegley reviewed <br />the audits with the committee. The minutes from the committee <br />meeting were included in the packets. Landis made a motion and <br />Quandt seconded to accept the audits and place them on file. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all <br />voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />AUTHORIZE THE CHAIR TO SIGN PROJECT STPE 2170(3) & CAIRO EAST (lR <br />ROAD): Stelk made a motion and Landis seconded to authorize the <br />Chairman to sign the project. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE REPORT TO SET GRAVEL LETTING FOR 1998: The public works <br />committee recommends to receive bids for the 1998 gravel <br />requirements on March 10, 199~ at 10:00 a.m. Quandt made a <br />motion and Long seconded to receive the gravel bids on March 10, <br />1998 at 10:00 a.m. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />LETTER FROM FAMILY RESOURCES ON DRAINAGE PROBLEM ON LENGENHEDER <br />ROAD: Public Work Director Dan Hostler show an aerial photograph <br />showing the road. The road ditch has been filed in with dirt,and <br />the culvert can not drain the water. He recommended that the <br />ditch be dug out and this would allow proper drainage. Abernethy <br />made a motion and Long seconded to authorize the public works <br />director to dig out the ditch to allow for drainage. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATION BUILDING BEAUTIFICATION: Lancaster stated that the <br />bushes around the administration building need to be trimmed and <br />some landscaping would make the entrances of the building more <br />attractive. Landis made a motion and Stelk seconded to authorize <br />Lancaster to check on the landscaping and return to the board <br />with a proposal. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no.
