<br />'If{ P tJo3<l <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING FEBRUARY 10, 1998 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjourned <br />session and by published call in the County Board meeting room, <br />121 South Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska, February 10, 1998, at <br />9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Richard Hartman. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by Rev. James Dubbs. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was given in unison. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Present on roll call were Irene Abernethy, Richard <br />Hartman, Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Huey Long, Gary <br />Quandt and Tammie Stelk. Also present were Deputy County <br />Attorney Jerry Janulewicz and news media representatives from the <br />Grand Island Independent and KRGI. <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE JANUARY 27 MEETING: Abernethy requested that the <br />reason she voted no on the Reuse plan be added to the minutes. <br />Quandt made a motion and Stelk seconded to approve the minutes as <br />received and place on file. Abernethy, Hartman, Lancaster, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY - APPROVE RESOLUTION FOR COMMITTEE PURCHASES: <br />This resolution addresses questions regarding various committees' <br />ability to purchase office supplies. Stelk made a motion and <br />Lancaster seconded to approve resolution # 98-0008 to authorize <br />the ADA and safety committees to make purchases. Abernethy, <br />Hartman, Lancaster, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. ' <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98- ()! O~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXPENDITURES BY <br />THE CHAIRS OF THE ADA AND SAFETY COMMITTEES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors created an ADA Committee, having <br />responsibility for assuring the County's compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Nebraska Statutes ~ 48-443, the Hall County Board of <br />Supervisors created a safety committee, having the responsibility of adopting and maintaining an <br />effective written injury prevention program~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each of the above-identified committees requires from time to time to obtain <br />stationjry, office supplies, office consumable, and o~her goods and materials necessary for the <br />functioning of the committees~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in order to promote efficient and effective governance, it is desirable to <br />authorize and empower appropriate county officers or employees to make limited purchases of <br />the above-described items for use of the above-named committees. <br />
