<br />'1rf~CJCJ/3 <br /> <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT FOR WOOD RIVER ROAD AND HWY34/281: Jerry <br />Janulewicz presented copies of the draft agreement to the county <br />board members. Part of Wood River Road will be vacated and the <br />board will have to accept and dedicate the new road. This will <br />need to be reviewed and addressed later. <br /> <br />REAPPOINT HALL COUNTY HIGHWAY SUPERINTENDENT: Landis made a motion <br />and Abernethy seconded to appoint Daniel Hostler as the Hall <br />County Highway Superintendent. Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Long, <br />Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no, with Lancaster <br />absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />SET DATE AND TIME FOR BID OPENING FOR JANITORIAL CONTRACT: Stelk <br />made a motion and Abernethy seconded to set January 27, 1998, at <br />10:30 a.m. for the bid opening for the janitorial contract. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes <br />and none voted no, with Lancaster absent, Motion carried. <br /> <br />LOCAL LAND USE PLAN: A copy of the resolution was provided to the <br />board members. Landis made a motion and Long seconded to approve <br />Resolution #980005 for the Development of a Proposed <br />comprehensive Statement and Land Use Plan. Abernethy, Hartman, <br />Landis, Long, Quandt and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no, <br />with Lancaster absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98- 0005 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PROPOSED <br />COMPREHENSIVE STATEMENT AND LAND USE PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, concern has been expressed for the need to develop a comprehensive <br />statement and land use plan describing the environment, custom, culture, tax base and community <br />stability of Hall County in order to ensure that county values, goals, and objectives will be <br />respected by federal departments and agencies involved in regulating the County's environment, <br />including its waters and lands; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, adjoining counties have expressed a desire work cooperatively in an effort to <br />develop comprehensive statements for each respective county; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors believes it is in the best interests of the <br />County and its inhabitants to work towards development of the above-described comprehensive <br />statement. <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED the Hall County Board of Supervisors, in cooperation with <br />interested counties, shall develop a proposed comprehensive statement and land use plan <br />describing the environment, custom, culture, tax base and community stability of Hall County in <br />order to ensure that county values, goals, and objectives will be respected by federal departments <br />and agencies involved in regulating the County's environment, including its waters and lands. <br />Said proposed comprehensive statement and land use plan shall come on before the Hall County <br />Board of Supervisors for further consideration and review prior to its adoption. Provided, any <br />such comprehensive statement and land use plan shall not be construed or considered as limiting, <br />replacing, supplanting, .amending, or affecting the Hall County Comprehensive Development Plan <br />or any zoning powers, orders, resolutions or regulations of the County of Hall or the Regional <br />Planning Commission. <br /> <br />PASSED A1'ID ADOPTED THIS 13.
