<br />tJ%~ CJt1// <br /> <br />APPROVE RESOLUTION FOR SALARIES OF ELECTED OFFICIALS: Copies of <br />the resolution were given to the board members this would reflect <br />a 3.70% increase for the County Clerk, Assessor, Treasurer, <br />Register of Deeds and Clerk of the District Court, 2% for the <br />County Attorney and 4% for the County Sheriff. Abernethy <br />suggested a 3.70% increase for the County Attorney. Stelk made a <br />motion and Long seconded to approve Resolution #980004. <br />Abernethy, Hartman, Landis, Long and Stelk all voted yes and <br />Quandt voted no, with Lancaster absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #98- (j 004- <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING SALARIES FOR <br />CERTAIN ELECTED COUNTY OFFICIALS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors is required by law to set and establish salaries <br />for elected county officials for the four-year term of office conunencing on January 7, 1999. <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOLVED, that the annual salaries for the following county officials be hereby set <br />as follows: <br /> <br />1. The annual salary for the office of county assessor be established at $36,295.00 for the calendar year <br />1999. Each year thereafter a 3.70 percent cost-of-living increase shall be added to the previous year's <br />salary so the total amount paid for the calendar year 2000 shall be $37,637.92, for the calendar year 2001 <br />shall be $39,030.52, and for the calendar year 2002 shall be $40,474.65. <br /> <br />2. The annual salary for the office of county attorney be established at $49,980.00 for the calendar year <br />1999. Each year thereafter a 2.00 percent cost-of-living increase shall be added to the previous year's <br />salary so the total amount paid for the calendar year 2000 shall be $50,979.60, for the calendar year 2001 <br />shall be $51,999.19, and for the calendar year 2002 shall be $53,039.18. <br /> <br />3. The annual salary for the offices of county clerk, clerk of the district court, register of deeds, and <br />treasurer be established at $35,258.00 for the calendar year 1999. Each year thereafter a 3.70 percent <br />cost-of-living increase shall be added to the previous year's salary so the total amount paid for the calendar <br />year 2000 shall be $36,562.55, for the calendar year 2001 shall be $37,915.36, and for the calendar year <br />2002 shall be $39,318.23. <br /> <br />4. The annual salary for the office of county supervisor be established at $15,036.50 for the calendar year <br />1999. Each year thereafter a 3.70 percent cost-of-living increase shall be added to the previous year's <br />salary so the total amount paid for the calendar year 2000 shall be $15,592.85, for the calendar year 2001 <br />shall be $16,169.79, and for the calendar year 2002 shall be $16,768.07. <br /> <br />5. The annual salary for the office of sheriff be established at $41,600.00 for the calendar year 1999. Each <br />year thereafter a 4.00 percent cost-of-living increase shall be added to the previous year's salary so the <br />total amount paid for the calendar year 2000 shall be $43,264.00, for the calendar year 2001 shall be <br />$44,994.56, and for the calendar year 2002 shall be $46,794.34. <br /> <br />6. The annual salary for the office of county surveyor be established at $6,500.00 for the calendar year <br />1999 and each calendar year thereafter. <br /> <br />7. In addition to the salary as set forth above, during the aforesaid term of office each of the above-named <br />officials shall receive employee health insurance coverage or, if eligible, family health insurance coverage <br />at county expense pursuant to the terms and conditions of the county's Employee Health Benefit Plan. The <br />county reserves the right to change deductible amounts, co-payment amounts, and other terms and <br />conditions of said benefit plan at any time prior to or during the term of office. <br /> <br />/1 <br />
