<br />~ 19990545 <br /> <br />Logan made a motion and Hartman seconded to approve the appointment of Charles <br />Kaufman as the administrator of the building and grounds department and to compensate <br />Mr. Kaufman an additional $5,000.00 for this position. The position will be effective <br />January I, 2000 and there will be an evaluation at the end of six months. This will be in <br />addition to his regular duties as the Hall County Park Superintendent. Arnold, Hartman, <br />Jeffries, Lancaster Landis and Logan all voted yes and none voted no with Stelk absent. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT: Stacey reminded the conditional use committee that. <br />they would need to schedule a meeting before the next meeting. They will meet on <br />January 4,2000 at 1 :30 p.m. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS: Lancaster stated that the Convention Visitors Bureau <br />expressed concerns on the appointments to various boards and she would like to address <br />this at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Jeffries stated he received a letter informing the board that the old Walnut school building <br />will be placed on the registry of historical buildings. He also thanked the board members <br />for their cooperation this year during this tenure as the board chair. <br /> <br />Hartman mentioned that the county will receive an insurance refund of$140,000.00. <br /> <br />AUDIT OF MONTHL Y CLAIMS AND ACTION ON CLAIM AUDIT: The board <br />audited the monthly claims as received. Hartman made a motion and Logan seconded to <br />approve the claims as audited and authorize the clerk to pay. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, <br />Lancaster Landis and Logan all voted yes and none voted no with Stelk absent.
