Hartman made a motion and Lancaster <br />seconded to quick claim deed the property to the Hall County Park and Stuhr Museum to <br />re-establish the property lines. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and <br />Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Chairman Jeffries called for public participation and no one <br />responded. <br /> <br />DISCUSS HAVING A JOINT CITY/COUNTY WORK STUDY SESSION: Arnold <br />requested that the county board hold a joint work study session with the city counsel to <br />discuss the new technology that will affect them. Arnold made a motion and Stelk <br />seconded to set a work-study session for January 18,2000, at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall. <br />Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />DISCUSS AND APPROVE RESOLUTION ESTABLISH HUMAN RELA nONS <br />COMMITTEE: This will establish an eleven member committee to serve a one year term <br />to study and make recommendations to the county board on human relations concerns <br />and issues. They also requested that $2,000.00 be allocated for expenses. Logan made a <br />motion and Arnold seconded to approve Resolution #99-0094 to establish the Hall <br />County Human Relations Committee. Mr. Rodney Moore is assisting the committee with <br />this process. The only expenses involved would be for mileage. Minutes of the meetings <br />will be maintained. Hartman questioned if a resolution was really necessary, but this will <br />provide some structure to the committee. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, <br />Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #99- 0 () q 4: <br />A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE HALL COUNTY HUMAN RELATIONS COMMITTEE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors desires to ensure the County of Hall fulfills is <br />responsibilities under state and federal laws with respect to ~qual employment opportunity and non- <br />discrimination in the provision of governmental services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors desires to formulate policies on human <br />relations concerns and issues including diversity and multiculturalism that are reflective of the public's <br />concerns and goals; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is desired that a committee be formed to study and make recommendations to the <br />County Board of Supervisors on human relations concerns and issues. <br /> <br />NOW BE IT RESOL YED as follows: <br /> <br />1) The Hall County Human Relations Committee, hereinafter referred to as the "Committee," is hereby <br />established. The mission and purpose of the committee shall be to make recommendations to the <br />County Board on human relations concerns and issues including, but not limited to, equal <br />employment opportunity, affirmative action, diversity, and multiculturalism. <br />
