<br />(19990507 <br /> <br />Corrections Director Joel Dalton recommends to purchase the 1997 Ford Taurus for <br />$12,390.00. Lancaster made a motion and Logan seconded to approve the purchase of <br />the 1997 Ford Taurus. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis and Logan all voted <br />yes and none voted no with Stelk absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Lancaster made a motion and Logan seconded to authorize the County Clerk to issue the <br />check in the amount of$12,390.00 for the purchase of the car on November 24, 1999 and <br />release the check to the correction director. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis <br />and Logan all voted yes and none voted no with Stelk absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMENCE AUDIT OF MONTHLY CLAIMS AND ACTION ON CLAIM AUDIT: <br />The board reviewed the monthly claims. Hartman made a motion and Logan seconded to <br />approve the monthly claims as audited and authorize the county clerk to pay. Arnold <br />Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster Landis and Logan all voted yes and none voted no with <br />Stelk absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Dan Hostler returned with the results of the bid opening and <br />recommended to accept the following: JIL Asphalt for the project on Old Potash <br />Highway for $85,741.00, Stuhr Road for $95,453.00 Blaine Street for $19,830.00 and <br />Gary Smith Construction was low bidder on Capital Avenue for $3,577.50 and Capital <br />Avenue C40(74) for $20,197.00 The bid for the Stuhr Road Project C40(15) was rejected <br />because it would be over the total budget amount. Hartman made a motion and Logan <br />seconded to accept the bids as recommended by Dan Hostler. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, <br />Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT: Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka included her <br />progress report in the packet and reminded the board of a conditional use committee <br />meeting December 6 at 9:00 a.m. and County Government Day will be held November <br />30. There is also a county zoning seminar in Kearney if someone would like to attend. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the agenda for the December 28 meeting. Hartman made a <br />motion and Lancaster seconded to only do the claim audit on the December 28th meeting. <br />Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and no one <br />voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS: Logan - no report <br /> <br />Arnold - He stated that the criminal justice committee has set a regular meeting date for <br />the Wednesday after the regular board meetings on a quarterly basis. <br /> <br />Landis - She attended the ADA meeting and they are installing signs in the courthouse. <br />She also mentioned the letter addressed to the corrections department thanking them for <br />their help with the Creech incident. Landis requested permission to attend a grant <br />training workshop and to have the registration fee paid by the county. <br />
