<br />~19990398 <br /> <br />ACCEPT RIGHT OF WAY FOR OLD POT ASH HIGHWAY AND ALDA ROAD FROM <br />ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS: This agreement grants Hall County easement for I:oad right- <br />of-way for two existing roads in the Cornhusker Anny Ammunition Plant. Hartman niade a <br />motion and Lancaster seconded to grant to Hall County easement No. DACA45-2-99-6157. <br />Arnol~ Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGREEMENT WITH JUVENILE SERVICES OFFICE FOR GRANT <br />ADMINISTRATION: Hall County and the City of Grand Island received a Crime Commission <br />grant for a juvenile intake officer. The interlocal agreement provides that the county is <br />responsible for the grant and the grant administration. The County \.ViTI receive $2,000.00 for the <br />administrative costs. This agreement will be for compensation and extra duties with Juvenile <br />Services Director Troy Chandler. Lancaster made a motion and Arnold seconded to authorize the <br />Chair to sign the agreement. Arnold, Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Logan and Stelle all voted yes <br />and Landis voted no. :Motion carried. <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS - a. APPROVE RESOLUTION FOR SPEED ZONES ON AIRPORT ROAD <br />EAST OF ENGLJTh.1AN ROAD TO NORTH ROAD: Hartman made a motion and Stelk <br />seconded to approve Resolution 99-0074 for speed limits on Airport Road east of Engle men <br />Road to North Road. Arnol~ Hartman, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan and Stelk all voted yes <br />and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION# C1 q- 0 D~ 1- <br /> <br />WHEREAS; the Hall County Board of Supervisors have received a number of complaints from <br />concerned residents of Hall County of the present speed limit on <br />Ai~rt Rd east ofEn~leman Road to North Road within Hall County, Nebraska; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; such complaints prompted the need for further consideration of the speed limit upon <br />said stretch of road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; a survey by the Hall County Highway Department was requested, performed and <br />compl~ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; the Hall County Highway Dep8nment as a result of the survey recommends a posted <br />speed limit of 35M P H.; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS; a reduction in the present speed limit to that as recommended would be in the best <br />interest of the public and would promote safety. <br /> <br />NOW IT BE RESOL VED~ it is hereby determined and ordered that the speed limit upon that <br />portion of Ai1:POrt Road e:L<;t ofEn~leman Road to North Road within Hall County, Nebraska, sball be <br />regulated as per above, and that in accordance herewith, personnel of the Hall County Highway <br />Department are direc".ed to post appropriate speed limit signs to this effect forthWlth. <br /> <br />PASSED ~"D ADOPTED nrrs 1-,/. day OL~fJ.b,1";l.lud. 199$.1 <br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION MOVED BY: -/!3.... 4~4 / ~.itJ'Yf.~l) <br /> <br />~'?1uLJ .~th <br /> <br />SECONDED BY: <br />
