Watson stated he has located a used 1989 <br />mini cargo van that will work. The purchase price will be <br />$2,400.00 with $1,000.00 for repairs. Watson stated he has <br />talked to the insurance company and has a letter of agreement <br />with the city. <br />Stelk made a motion and Hartman seconded to purchase the van in <br />the amount of $3,400.00 to be paid out of equipment <br />acquisition. Logan was excused from the meeting. Hartman, <br />Jeff~ies, Lancaster, Landis and Stelk all voted yes and Arnold <br />abstained with Logan absent. Motion carried. <br /> <br />3:48 p.m. Board of Equalization <br /> <br />4:10 p.m. returned to regular session <br /> <br />SET DATE FOR COUNTY AUCTION: Hartman stated he will contact Tom <br />Wieck to set up a date for the county auction and report back to <br />the board on April 27. <br /> <br />COUNTY BOARD ASSISTANT REPORT: Stacey Ruzicka reported that she <br />is in the process of obtaining a notary commission and requested <br />direction on what service she should provide. The board stated <br />she should provide the service to the public and well as county <br />business. She requested direction on obtaining insurance <br />coverage on the statue in front of the Court House and this <br />matter was referred to the insurance committee. Discussion was <br />held on the purchase of dubbing equipment for the board of <br />supervisors audio tapes. Stacey was instructed to review the <br />policy and place this on the agenda for April 27. Midland Area <br />Agency on Aging stated they could use another alternate on the <br />board. Bill Schuppan is one alternate and Chairman Jeffries said <br />he will appoint another person to serve. Stacey reminded the <br />board members to turn in their personnel evaluations. <br /> <br />BOARD MEMBERS REPORTS: Hartman - He attended the Weed Board <br />meeting and they have hired a part-time secretary and the part- <br />time sprayers. <br /> <br />Stelk - She reported that the insurance committee met with Stuhr <br />Museum to see if the employees could be added to the Hall County <br />Plan. The transportation committee met at City Hall and a <br />letters of support will be written by the area providers. She <br />attended a County Government Day committee meeting and they are <br />planning a buffet lunch and hope to have the news media involved <br />in the next County Government Day. She attended the computer <br />committee meeting union negotiations and there will be a health <br />board meeting. <br />
