Watson stated he has located a used 1989 mini cargo van that will work. The purchase price will be $2,400.00 with $1,000.00 for repairs. Watson stated he has talked to the insurance company and has a letter of agreement with the city. Stelk made a motion and Hartman seconded to purchase the van in the amount of $3,400.00 to be paid out of equipment acquisition. Logan was excused from the meeting. Hartman, Jeff~ies, Lancaster, Landis and Stelk all voted yes and Arnold abstained with Logan absent. Motion carried. 3:48 p.m. Board of Equalization 4:10 p.m. returned to regular session SET DATE FOR COUNTY AUCTION: Hartman stated he will contact Tom Wieck to set up a date for the county auction and report back to the board on April 27. COUNTY BOARD ASSISTANT REPORT: Stacey Ruzicka reported that she is in the process of obtaining a notary commission and requested direction on what service she should provide. The board stated she should provide the service to the public and well as county business. She requested direction on obtaining insurance coverage on the statue in front of the Court House and this matter was referred to the insurance committee. Discussion was held on the purchase of dubbing equipment for the board of supervisors audio tapes. Stacey was instructed to review the policy and place this on the agenda for April 27. Midland Area Agency on Aging stated they could use another alternate on the board. Bill Schuppan is one alternate and Chairman Jeffries said he will appoint another person to serve. Stacey reminded the board members to turn in their personnel evaluations. BOARD MEMBERS REPORTS: Hartman - He attended the Weed Board meeting and they have hired a part-time secretary and the part- time sprayers. Stelk - She reported that the insurance committee met with Stuhr Museum to see if the employees could be added to the Hall County Plan. The transportation committee met at City Hall and a letters of support will be written by the area providers. She attended a County Government Day committee meeting and they are planning a buffet lunch and hope to have the news media involved in the next County Government Day. She attended the computer committee meeting union negotiations and there will be a health board meeting.
