<br />F19990016 <br /> <br />HALL COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING JANUARY 26, 1999 <br /> <br />The Hall County Board of Supervisors met from adjourned session <br />and by published call in the county board meeting room, 121 South <br />Pine, Grand Island, Nebraska, January 26, 1999, at 9:00 a.m. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bud Jeffries. <br /> <br />Invocation was given by <br /> <br />Present on roll call were Scott Arnold, Richard Hartman, Bud <br />Jeffries, Pamela Lancaster, Margaret Landis, Lonnie Logan and <br />Tammie Stelk. Also present were Deputy County Attorney Jerry <br />Janulewicz and news media representatives from the Grand Island <br />Independent and kRGI. <br /> <br />Richard Hartman was excused from the meeting. <br /> <br />COUNTY ATTORNEY - EXECUTIVE SESSION DISCUSSION ON REAL ESTATE <br />PURCHASE: Logan made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go into <br />executive session. Arnold, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no, with Hartman absent. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />9:07 a.m. executive session <br /> <br />9:54 a.m. Arnold made a motion and Lancaster seconded to go out <br />of executive session. Arnold, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no, with Hartman absent. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: Chairman Jeffries called for public <br />participation and no one responded. <br /> <br />ACCEPT AND PLACE ON FILE THE AUDIT REPORTS FOR KENO AND REGISTER <br />OF DEEDS: This is the audit required on keno and the special <br />audit required for the register of deeds. Jeffries asked if this <br />was a cash accounting basis and Janulewicz stated that all the <br />offices are on a cash basis. Logan made a motion and Stelk <br />seconded to accept and place on file the audits for keno and the <br />register of deeds. Arnold, Jeffries, Lancaster, Landis, Logan <br />and Stelk all voted yes and none voted no, with Hartman absent. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />BETTY CURTIS CLEAN COMMUNITY SYSTEMS GRANT APPLICATION: <br />Betty Curtis with Clean Community System contacted the board <br />requesting a $2,000.00 cash match for a grant to the Nebraska <br />Department of Environmental Quality for the house hold hazardous <br />waste collection. She has requested support from the NRD in the <br />$1,000.00 and hopes to receive a $1,500.00 match from Hamilton, <br />
