HALL COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING JULY 3, 2012 <br />' 9:20 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Purdy seconded to ga into a Board of <br /> Equalization meeting. <br /> ROLI: CALL VOTE — Present on rall call vate were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, <br /> Bob McFarland, Daniel Purdy, Gary Quandt, Steve Schuppan and David Ziala. Also <br /> present were Deputy County Attorney Jack Zitt�rkopf, County Assessor Jan Pelland ' <br /> and Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW — Chairman Lancaster read the notice of the open <br /> me�ting law. <br /> MINUTES —Ziola made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the minutes af the <br /> June 19, 2012 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and <br /> Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 2. PLACE ON FILE PROPERTY VALUATION PROTEST NUMBERS 1 TO 192 — <br /> County Assessor Jan Pelland stated that as of last night there were 237 protests <br /> received and there may be a few more rec�ived with the July Z�d postmark. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Arnold seconded to place on file praperty valuatian protest <br /> 1 to 192. Arnold, Lancast�r, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted <br /> yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Lancaster questioned if the formal hearing dates cauld be changed because the board <br /> may not need all of the scheduled hours. Pelland stated that thE post cards and the <br /> notices all had the dates listed on them so they cannot be changed. Pelland stated that <br /> the people that filed protests seemed to use more appraisals for their documentation. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chairman Lancaster called for public participation for the <br /> Board of Equalization and no one responded. <br /> COUNTY TREASURER --APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR CENTRAL <br /> NEBRASKA HUMANE SOCIETY FOR A 2013 LO�K UTILITY TRAILER <br /> 2) APPR�VE EXEMPTI�N APPLICTION FOR THE SALVATION ARMY FOR A 2006 <br /> KIA <br /> 3) APPROVE EXEMPTION APPLICATION FOR HALL COUNTY SENIOR CITIZENS <br /> INDUSTRIES FQR A 2012 CHEVROLET VAN - <br /> County Treasurer Peg Pesek presented the following exemption applications: <br /> Central Nebraska Humane Society, 1312 Sky Park Road, Grand Island for a 2013 Look <br /> utility trailer to be used to haul, rescue and for emergency response for animal care and <br /> needs. <br /> The Salvatian Army, 818 West Third, Grand Island, for a 2Q0� Kia sedan to be used to <br />
