S <br /> t�narc�. <br /> �� Appraisal Services Inc. <br /> 1908 1 bth Ave. ■ Central City, N� GS$26 ■ �308) 94G-52D5 <br /> AGREEMENT FOR REFEREE SERVICES <br /> This agreement, made and entered inta this�day of� -- _2012,by and between the <br /> County of Hall,'Nebraska, herinafter referred to as "County," and Stanard Appraisal Services <br /> Inc,hereinafter referred to as "Company." The County and Carnpany may hereinafter be jaintly <br /> Referred to as the"Parties." <br /> WHEREAS,Neb Rev. Stat. 77-1502 (1996 Reissue)requizes that the County Board af <br /> Equalization shall hold a session on not less than three days, for the plupose of reviewing and <br /> deciding protests filed pursuant to Neb. Rev. Stat. 77-1502 to 77-1507; and <br /> WHEREAS,Neb. Rev. Sta.t. 77-1502.01 (Reissue 1996) authorizes the Board of Equalization to <br /> appoint one or mare suitable persons to act as referees to hear protests in the first instance and to <br /> transmit to the County Boazd of Equalization all papers relating to such protests,together with <br /> written fmdit�gs aiad recomrnendations; and <br /> WHEREAS,the County, to accommodate the volume of protests and to afford each taxpayer <br /> ample apportunity for a meaningful hearing before a qualified individual, has determined that it <br /> should appoint referees to hear the protests �iled for the 2012 assessment year; and <br /> WHEREAS, in order to ensure that all pxotests are processed expeditiously, treated fairly and <br /> consistently, and decided in compliance witla the provisions of state law,the County has � <br /> determined that it shou�d seek a qualified firm ox xz�dividual to supervise and coordinate all <br /> activities of the referees and to pravide referees to be appointed by Caunty to hear the protests <br /> f Jed for t�e 2012 assessment year; and <br /> WHEREAS,tlae Company employs qualified individuals and is willing to contract with County <br /> to provide the necessary supervision.and coordinatian of the referee activities and the necessary <br /> referees for tk�e 2012 assessment year. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideratian of the mutua.l covenants laerein con.tained it is agreed as <br /> follows by the Parties hereto: <br /> I. The Company shall provide z�ecessary re�erees and caordinate all referee activities for the <br /> 201.2 assessment year. it is hexeby undezstood and agreed by the parties that the Caordinator to <br /> be provided by Company for this coordination af activities shall be Darrel Stanard or Mark <br /> Stanard, hereinafter referred to as "Caordinator."
