HALI. COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION MEETING JANUARY 31, 2012 <br /> 9:05 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Ziola seconded to go into a Board of Equalization <br /> meeting. <br /> ROLL CALL VOTE — Present on roll call vote were Scott Arnold, Pamela Lancaster, Bob <br /> McFarland, Daniel Purdy, Gary Quandt, Steve Schuppan and David Ziola. Also present was <br /> Deputy County Attarney Jack Zitterkopf and Board Assistant Stacey Ruzicka. <br /> NOTICE OF OPEN MEETING LAW— Chairman Lancaster read the notice of the open meeting <br /> law. <br /> MINUTES — Quandt made a motian and Ziola seconded to approve the minutes of the January <br /> 17, 2012 meeting. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted <br /> yes and none voted na. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> COUNTY TR�ASURER EXEMPTION APPLICATIONS —County Treasurer poris Mason <br /> presented the fallowing exemptian application: <br /> Mid Nebraska Individual Services, Inc., 2536 Carleton Avenue, Grand Island, NE 68803 for a <br /> 2011 Gashen bus, to be used to transport developmentally disabled individuals. She has <br /> approved this exemption application as per Nebraska 5tate Statute 77-202 and is requesting <br /> the board's approval. <br /> Ziola made a mntion and Arnold seconded to approve the exemption application for Mid <br /> Nebraska Individual Services. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and <br /> Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION — LITIGATION STRATEGY RE: NEW HOLLAND TERC APP�ALS — <br /> McFarland made a motion and Purdy seconded to go into executive session. This executive <br /> session is to protect the public interest. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 9:09 a.m. executive sessian <br /> 9:50 a.m. Arnold made a motion and Schuppan seconded to go aut of executive session. <br /> Lancaster stated that they did not discuss anything except the issue and there were no votes <br /> and no action taken. <br /> COUNTY ASSESSOR UPDAT� ON TERRA SCAN- County Assessor Jan Pelland stated that <br /> she received notice that Terra Scan was sold to Manatron. She is familiar with the new <br /> company; it is part of the Thompson Rider Group. She contacted Marshall with Terra Scan to <br /> verify were we stand since we have a three year contract, and he stated that they will honor it, <br /> but shE has cancerns that they wilt. Terra Scan will be phased aut but they stated they will <br /> support the program in Nebraska. As changes are made it will determine haw soon the Terra <br /> Scan program will be phased out. She was asked if Hall County would like to be a pilot county <br /> for the new program. She stated that she is planning to look at the new program and will come <br /> 1 <br />
