D15CUSS AND APPROV� COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH FOP LODGE <br /> #10 - Lancaster noted that Jerry Janulewicz has been the legal counsel for the negotiations. <br /> Mr. Janulewicz stated that he is here to ask for the baard's approval and to authorize the chair <br /> to sign the collective bargaining agreement for FOP L.odge#10 for July 1, 2012 to June 30, <br /> 2014. There were a few non economic items that were addressed far example clarification on <br /> sick and vacation accruals as it is earned. There was only one economic change and that was <br /> ta adjust the pay steps by 2% for this year and 2% for the 2013 —2014. They did a salary <br /> survey af the counties in our array and after looking at the information our steps were low so the <br /> steps were increased. There was also clarification regarding the longevity pay. They met 4 or 5 <br /> times and it went well and this is a reasonable settlement. They are recommending approving <br /> the agreement. <br /> Ziola questioned the longevity pay. Mr. Janulewicz stated that the longevity pay is frozen and <br /> new people coming on are not eligible. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Ziola seconded to approve the collective bargaining agreement with <br /> FOP Lodge #10. Mr. Quandt stated that the negotiations team kept the rest of the board <br /> infarmed and he thanked Mr. Janul�wicz and nated that Chris Rea also sat through the <br /> negotiations. <br /> The vote on the motion ta approve the agreement was taken. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, <br /> Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 7 <br />
