He noted that they had applied for and r�ceived a grant for a study on the <br /> infrastructure. <br /> Arnold noted information on the web site and stated they we may not be rural anymore. <br /> The board thanked her for the information. <br /> 8. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING ROOF REPLACEMENT AT <br /> THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT — Purdy stated the roof an the public warks department <br /> was replaced and in February BAC Roofing came back and informed them that the <br /> shingles were defective. The manufacturer will replace the shingles and cover the labor <br /> to do so. There is a certificate of acceptance and a ch�ck for $100.00 that they <br /> received and by signing the check the county will have accepted the terms. There <br /> would be a new warranty on the roof. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Quandt seconded to accept terms of replacement and <br /> authorize the Chair ta sign. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan <br /> and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 13. APPROVE BI WEEKI.Y PAY CLAIMS AND REGULAR CLAIMS —The Board <br /> members received the board preapproval report and reviewed the claims. Discussion <br /> was held on mileage claims. Schuppan stated that the board needs to look at this issue <br /> and come to a resolution. <br /> Ziola made a motian and McFarland seconded to apprave the bi weekly pay claims and <br /> th� regular claims except the claim fior Office Net and claim #12070495 will be held for <br /> clarification. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all <br /> voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Ziola seconded to pay the claim from Office Net. Arnold, <br /> Lancaster, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziala all voted yes and none voted no. , <br /> McFarland abstained. Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS — Lancaster called for board <br /> member's reports. <br /> Lancaster stated that she received an E Mail fram the SherifF inviting the board <br /> members to ride along in a patrol car. Pam reported on the veterans meeting she <br /> attended. There may be possible legislation regarding veteran's benefits when veteran <br /> is put in jail. Th�ir health care costs are no different than anyone with regular <br /> insurance. There was also discussion regarding identification on a driver's license that <br /> a person is a veteran. Various places allow discounts and benefits to veterans. There <br /> is also a care link on their web site. Purdy noted that Mr. Shuda is working on issues on <br />
