He <br /> stated that the railraad has been gaod about communicating the information. He is responsi�le <br /> for the trafFc cantrol and any communications that need to go aut to the media. It was to be <br /> clos�d far 5 weeks but that did not happened and they are haping that it will b� completed in 2 <br /> weeks. They are laying the asphalt today and waiting for a sealant for the concrete. Todd <br /> HuImE with the railraad was also present. <br /> Lancaster noted that the railroad projects always seem to take additional time to complete. <br /> Construction caus�s inconveniences and we just need ta exercise patience. She thanked Mr. <br /> McF'arland and the ather parties for coming. <br /> 9 EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING FOP NEGOTIATIONS -� Purdy made a mation and <br /> Quandt seconded to go into executive session regarding the FOP negotiations. This executive <br /> sessian is ta protect the public interest. Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Schuppan, and Ziala all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 10:5Q a.m. executive s�ssion <br /> 11:16 a.m. Quandt made a motion and McFarland seconded to go out of executive session. <br /> Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan, and Ziola alt vated yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carri�d. <br /> Lancaster stated that the only item that was discussed was the item regarding the FOP <br /> negatiations. <br /> Attorney Jerry Janulewicz addressed a letter that the Hall County Sheriff s office received <br /> regarding the fact that the merit commission looked at various comparable counties and made <br /> recommendatians regarding pay this is anly a recommendation and ultimately the salary I�vels <br /> are up to the County Baard. There is currently a cantract with the FOP and it expires at the end <br /> of the fiscal year. There will be negotiations with the FOP and they will be in executive session. <br /> 10. APPRt7VE BI WEEKLY PAY CLIAMS AND REGULAR CLAIMS — The board members <br /> rec�ived the baard pre approva1 for their review. Ziala made a motian and Quandt seconded to <br /> pay the bi weekly pay claims and the regular claims except for the claim from Office Net. . <br /> Arnold, Lancaster, McFarland, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan, and Ziola all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Ziola made a motion and Quandt secanded to approve the claim from OfFice Net. Mr. I <br /> Mc�'arland s#ated that he will abstain from the vote due to his business assaciatian with Office ' <br /> Net. Arnold, Lancaster, Purdy, Quandt, Schuppan and Ziola all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> McFarland abstained. Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS — Purdy stated that they had a facilities <br /> cammittee meeting and will have a couple of items far cansideration in 2 weeks. They have <br /> also hired a new employee that has an electrician's license <br /> Quandt reported that the county rer,eived about $22,Op�.00 in occupation tax firom the cable N. <br /> Thanks to the efforts of the county attorney. <br /> 3 <br />
