Mr. Quandt expressed concern that this should be opened up for other banks to bid on. <br /> Lancaster noted that this is a NACO sponsored program. <br /> Mr. Ziola questioned if you can set a daily limit and Mr. Hughes stated that you can. <br /> Mr. Quandt stated that he does not have a problem with the card but wants to see it opened up <br /> to other banks. Discussion was held this was approved in August 2010 and no action is <br /> necessary. Lancaster stated that NACO has done all of the preliminary work and RFPs were <br /> submitted to NACO, <br /> Quandt made a motion to go out for bids from the home town banks for the purchase cards. No <br /> second to the motion. Motion failed. <br /> Quandt stated that he want to open it up to businesses in Hall County. Lancaster stated that <br /> NACO held an RFP process and it was the board's decision to go forward with this in 2010. <br /> The program was approved and it can move forward. <br /> Recessed the Board of Corrections meeting for the handi bus public hearing. <br /> Returned to the Board of Corrections meeting. <br /> Mr. Ruiz stated that the committee met and discussion was held on the double bunking and the <br /> steering committee would like to wait until it is possible to do the entire project. They will <br /> address this later. He sent employees to the Spillman conference in Utah, without the Spillman <br /> program is their lifeline and without it they would come to a standstill so it is important to stay <br /> current with the Spillman process. They have also participated in a program where they visit <br /> Douglas and Sarpy Counties corrections departments and they visit Hall County and observe e <br /> the procedures in the facilities. They also balanced the billing from the City regarding the <br /> ambulance contract. The county has a cap of $12,000.00 and they are close to the cap but with <br /> due diligence they are able to work with them and keep it at the $12,000.00 cap. This contract <br /> is up for renewal. <br /> The county received about $76,000.00 from the SCAP program that reimburses the county for <br /> alien inmates. Mr. Ruiz stated that without the Spillman program they would not be able to track <br /> this information. Purdy questioned if the issue on jail standards c hinge and Mr. Ruiz stated that <br /> it did not, we want to have jail standards. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Vice Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> NEW OR UNFINISHED BUSINESS -- Vice Chairman Lancaster called for new or unfinished <br /> business and non one responded. <br /> Returned to the regular meeting. :' <br /> 9 g ' 1 : � ; eOh <br /> G 4 <br /> w ,, <br /> aria .
