Watson <br />Date: 08-22-2007 <br /> <br />On August 21st, at approximately 6:30 PM The Hall County Sheriffs Office <br />received a request for assistance to locate a missing 22 year old Grand Island <br />resident. The missing person was identified as Jack Joseph Cavanaugh. <br />Mr. Cavanaugh was last seen on Tuesday morning at approximately 5:00 AM in the <br />area of Gunbarrel Road and A road in northeast rural Hall County. He and his <br />girlfriend were involved an automobile accident and then left the scene on foot. <br />The accident occurred in rural Merrick County. The girlfriend and he split up and he <br />was last observed heading west, in the direction of his mother's residence, which is <br />located in the 3300 block of East Seedling mile, in Grand Island. <br /> <br />According to the girlfriend there was no significant injury to either individual from <br />the accident. He was reported missing by his mother at 6:30 PM after she checked <br />with his employer and discovered Jack failed to report to work at 2:30 PM. <br /> <br />The Sheriffs Office searched the area last night, and are continuing the search <br />this morning with assistance from the Hall County Sheriffs posse, who are <br /> <br />.
