HALL COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE

3-15-19 @ 2:55 P.M

Wood River Fire Dept is not making a mandatory evacuation at this time. We are
encouraging everyone that feel they are in danger or unsafe to go to the High
School for shelter. The only evacuation is north of Hwy 30 & Hwy 11 (Cottonwood
St.) where water is making it impossible to travel through. The crest has not
reached its peak and is not expected to until late tonight or early Saturday
morning. With it being a historical flood we have no way of determining the extent
of this flood. The Wood River & Rescue Facebook page & Wood River City
website (woodriverne.com) will be constantly updated. You may also call the
department at 583-2541. If an emergency would happen we will sound the civil
defense sirens & send out Code Red calls. Local traffic only through Hwy 30. It is
highly recommended to us the interstate to travel. Your safety is our main
concern please respect roadblocks, FD personnel & law enforcement.

Jenie Maloney
308-380-3900
President of WRFD
