201108�14 <br />ORDINANCE NO. 9341 (Cont.) <br />Distance Of 654.1'f Thence Westerly On A Line For A Distance Of 106' Thence <br />Southerly On A Line For A Distance Of 193.6'f Thence Easterly On A Line For A <br />Distance Of 106' Thence South On A Line To A Point On The North Line Of the U.S. <br />Highway 34, Husker Highway Thence Westerly On The South Line Of Said U.S. <br />Highway 34, Husker Highway To The West Line Of Northeast Quarter Of Northwest <br />Quarter Section 34-11-9 Thence Northerly On The West Line Of Northeast Quarter, <br />Northwest Quarter Section 34-11-9 To The North Line Of Section 34-11-9 Thence <br />Continuing Northerly On The West Line Of The Southeast Quarter Of Southwest Quarter <br />Section 27-11-9 To The North Line Of U.S. Highway 34, Husker Highway Thence <br />Westerly And Northerly On The North Line Of U.S. Highway 34, Husker Highway To <br />The Point Of Beginning <br />WHEREAS, after public hearing on October 25, 2011, the City Council of the <br />City of Grand Island found and determined that such annexation be approved; and <br />WHEREAS, on October 25, 201 l, the City Council of the City of Grand Island <br />approved such annexation on first reading and on November 8, 2011 the second reading was <br />approved. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: <br />SECTION 1. It is hereby found and determined that: <br />(A) The above-described tracts of land are urban or suburban in character, and <br />that the subject properties are contiguous or adjacent to the corporate limits of said City. <br />(B) The subject lands will receive the material benefits and advantages currently <br />provided to land within the City's corporate limits including, but not limited to police, fire, <br />emergency services, street maintenance, and utilities services upon annexation to the City of <br />Grand Island, Nebraska, and that City electric, water and sanitary sewer service is available, or <br />will be made available, as provided by law. <br />-Z- <br />
