<br /> WHEREAS, on the 17th day of March, 1948, Lots One (1) and 7�0 (2), Block Four (4), La,keview Addition, b�longing
<br /> to the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, were, pursuant to the action of the Mayor and City Council, offered for sale at
<br /> a public aUCtion to the highes� bidder and Orval 0. Roush of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, bid the sum of Six
<br /> Thousand �ne Hundred ($6,100) Dollars theref ore, said araount being the highest bid offered.
<br /> THEREFpRF BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNC IL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, h'EBRASKA:
<br /> SECTION l. The sale of the real estate described as Lots One (1) and 'h,�o (2), Block Four (4), Lakeview Addition
<br /> to the City of Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, to Orval 0. Roush of said City of Grand Island, be and the same is
<br /> hereby directed, authorized and confirmed.
<br /> SECTION 2. The manner and terms of said sale of such real estate are as follows: The said Orval 0. Roush the
<br /> bidder has agreed to pay the sum of Si.x Thousand One Hundred ($6,100) Dollars for the within described real estate and
<br /> has paid the sum of One Thousand 'h�o Hundred 'I�enty ($1,220) Dollars as a down payment thereon and the balance of Four
<br /> Thousand Eight Hundred Eighty ($4,880) Dollars will be paid upon delivery of a Quit Clai.m Deed by the City to said
<br /> purchaser. The City of Grand Island shall not be required to furnish an Abstract of Title.
<br /> SECTION 3. As provided by law, notice of such sale and the terms thereof shall be published for three consecutive
<br /> weeks in the Grand Island Daily Independent, a newspaper published in and of general circulation in the City of Grand
<br /> Island, Nebraska, immediately after the passage and publication of this ordinance; and the City Clerk is hereby
<br /> directed and instructed to prepare and publish said notice.
<br /> SECTION 4. Authnrity is he reby granted to the electors of the City of Grand Tsland, Nebraska, to file a
<br /> remonstrance against the sale of the within described real estate; and if a r�emonstrance against the sale signed by
<br /> legal electors of said City equa]� in number ro thirty per cent (30,%) of the electors of tY� City of Grand Island, voting
<br /> at the last regular electi.on held in said City, be filed with the Mayor and City Council within thirty days after the
<br /> pas�age and publication of this ordinance, such property shall not then, nor within one year thereafter be sold.
<br /> SECTIOI� 5. The sale of said real estate is hereby directed, authorized and confirmed; and if no remonstrance
<br /> be filed against siich sale, the Mayor and City Clerk shall make, execute, and deliver to Orval 0. Roush a Quit Claim
<br /> Deed for said property and the execution of said deed is hereby� authorized without further action on behalf of the City
<br /> Council.
<br /> SECTIQN 6, This ordinance sha]_1 be in force and take effect from and after its passage, approval. and
<br /> publication as provided by law.
