Larson <br /> My conenissiorr expiTes the 23rd day of Dec, 1955 Notary Public <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 2354 <br /> \ <br /> AN ORDINANCE authorizing and directing the sale of certain real estate belonging to the City of Crand Island, <br /> Nebraska; providing the manner in which the same shall be sold and the terms of said sale; providing for the giving of <br /> notice of the sale of said real estate and the terms thereof; and, providing for the right to file a remonstrance <br /> against the sale thereof signed by legal electors of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, equal in number to thirty per <br /> cent (30�) of the electors s�f said City, voting at the ].ast regular municigal election neia in said Citq. <br /> WHEREAS, on the 9th day of February, 1950, Lots Fourteen and Sixteen (14 � 16), Block Twenty-three (23), College <br /> Addit�on to West Lawn, betonging to the said Citp of Grand Island, Nebraska, were pursuant ta� the action of the Mayor <br /> and City Council offered for sale at a public auction to the highest bidder and Roy Johnson, of the City of Grand <br /> Island, Nebraska bid Two Nundred Fifteen Dollars ($215.00) or a total of Four Hundred Thirty Dollars ($430.00), for <br /> each of said lots, the same being the highest bids offered. <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE IN�AYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA: <br /> SECTION 1. The sale of the real estate described as Lots Fourteen- and Sixteen (14 f� 16), Block 'l�enty-three (23), <br /> College Addition to West Lawn, an Addition to th� City of Grand I�land, Hall County, Nebraska, to Roy Johnson, of the <br /> said City of Grand Island, be and the same is herehy directed, autharized and confirmed. <br /> SECTION 2. The manner and terms of said sale of such real estate are as follows: The said Roy Johnson, the <br /> bidder, has agreed to pay Two Hundred Fifteen: Dollars ($215.00) for each of said lots or the total sum of Four Hundred <br /> Thirty Dollars ($430.00) and has paid as a dawn payment thereon the sum of Forty-Lhree Dollars ($43.00) on each of said � <br /> lots ar a total of Eightp-three Dollars (86.00) and the unpaid balance in the sum of Three Hundred Forty-four pollars <br /> ($344.00) will be paid in full upon execution and delivery of a Quit Claim Deed and the City of Grand Island sha12 not <br /> be required to furnish an Abstract of Title. <br /> ORDINANCE N0. 2354 (con�t) <br /> SECTION 3. As provided by law, notice of such sale and the terms thereof shall be published for three consecutiv,e <br /> weeks in th� Grand Island Daily Independent, a newspaper published in and of general circulation in the City of Grand' <br /> Island, Nebraska, immediately after the passage and publication of this ordinance; and the City Clerk is hereby directed <br /> and instructed to prepare and publish said notice. <br /> SECTION 4. Authority is hereby granted to the electors of the City of Grand Island, Nebraska, to file a remonstrance <br /> against the sale of the within described real estate; and if a remonstrance against the sale signed by legal electors <br /> of said City equal in number to thirty per cent (3�) of the electors of the City of Grand Island, voting at the last <br /> regular election held in said City be filed with the Mayor and City Council within thirtq days after the p�ssa�e: arid <br /> publication of this ordinance, ;such property shall not then, nor within one year thereafter be- sold. <br /> SECTION 5. The sale of said real estate is hereby directed, authorized and confirmed; and if no remonstrance be <br /> filed against such sale, the Mapor and City Clerk shall make, execute, and deliver to Roy Johnson, a Quit Claim Deed <br /> for said property and the execution of said deed is herebp authorized without further action on behalf of the City of ' <br /> Grand Island. <br /> SECTION 6.
